Everyone we talked to at every stage to organise a wedding were great, polite professional and extremely helpful. The ceremony went off without any issues and the celebrants were lovely and at the same time professional. Would highly recommend getting married here.
I have just had the displeasure of the phone being answered by someone who takes the top award for worst voice/phone manner!! Rudeness beyond ! I simply asked her name as I could hear it understand what she was saying “Clare” I may have heard but she chose to put the phone down on me ! I rang back & yes phone down again! She should not be in a Customer service role! Mortuary perhaps!

Married here in august and at our marriage ceremony on the day pre interview a man a women was conducting it ,man was around late 50s early 60s white hair English ,my husband who’s not born here couldn’t understand one word he said and ask him to repeat it when I tried to help he shouted at me not to speak that my husband has to speak for himself then when filling in family’s details he says to my husband “do you even know the name of your father” we both looked up in shock my husband replies “of course” to which the man says “wow I’m shocked” this was actually no exaggeration the man was incredibly racist and rude from the moment we entered the room and he made it obvious he was feeling like this ,but what’s sad the most is as soon as we left that room we had our ceremony immediately and both of us was visibly upset on what’s supposed to be the most special day of our lives ,we didn’t complain because we didn’t want that memory of our day to be a bad one but it certainly ruined the ceremony,awful awful man!.
Very prompt in responding to emails and request. I've recently requested for a copy of our marriage certificate urgently due to time constraint with the embassy. After explaining our circumstance through email, they have managed to send it out to us in just 2 days.
Only giving 4 stars because of the registrars Richard and David, who made our special day remarkable. After initially Islington registrars office failed us in many ways and I was really upset as they blamed each other that calling over the phone and going in person is different,so anyone getting married-please visit in person-DO NOT call over the phone, I felt really depressed because of them and their attitude,as I thought our big day will be destroyed. But the registrars Richard and David were amazing and we had a lovely ceremony,as all is very important to us. So, those 2 people, especially Richard, deserve great respect and all the best. Thank you so much from us N, B& our families. With kindest regards
A good experience using their service. Made to feel welcomed, comfortable and most importantly valued. This is a really nice setting, which adds to the overall experience. The registrar was a very lovely lady, who was patient and is indeed, a credit to her department.
Late for 10 minutes while I was waiting in the queue for 10 minutes and I was told to book another appointment for 4 weeks later
Lovely experience dealing with staff for my voting registry. They were very patient and I was as well in return. Made my day.
Located in the Town Hall building, this is where you register births, marriages and deaths. It's not a modern building but the staff are very helpful and not stuffy like other places I have visited.
