We purchased two adult tickets for the Majestic Tour after spotting the tour bus office in town the other day, and were very pleased to find out that this enabled us to upgrade our tickets to Grand24 tickets for free! This meant we could use all three bus tour routes for 24hrs as much as we wanted. The tour itself was extremely informative and interesting, and the full loop lasted just under 70 mins. The driver provides you with a headphone pouch brand new and unopened for each passenger, which you can then plug into the seat and choose your language and volume settings for the duration of the tour. The app also is very helpful to see where you can pick up the tour from, and to see live bus times and updates so you don’t miss the bus along the way! Would 100% recommend.
Love bus tours to get my bearings and see the highlights of a city! Reasonably priced, leaves every 20mins or so and hop on hop off means that you can explore as much as you want. Ticket valid for 24 hours so I used mine over 2 day! Great! Audio was very interesting and gave good insights into some if Edinburgh's history.
7 out of 5 stars excellent value for money. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Never laughed so hard with strangers you get a great amount of all the hidden treasures of Edinburgh while seeing it's 3 best historical sights! A must have for anyone traveling to Edinburgh especially if you're on a time crunch and want to see as much as possible in 48 hours or less!
Starting from St. Andrew Square three routes comfortable buses is one of the best ways to explore the city with hop-on and hop-off. I found 1 and 2 days options, also some entry discounts are present with this ticket. Just need to be careful with operating hours in the evening. Mobile app is easy to use and buy tickets that show all attractions with opening hours.
We were in Edinburgh as a stop on our British Isles cruise. We did the Edinburgh City Tour, and it was perfect for the time we had. We started by riding the entire route straight through, and our guide Gwen was fantastic! She provided a good mix of facts and stories, and her personality was so endearing. We then opted to hop off/on at a few of the stops. It was easy to find the bus stops, and busses were frequent. We feel this route helped us make the most of our time in Edinburgh, and we would absolutely do it again. PS - Big kudos to the drivers for navigating those narrow streets! Talk about precision driving!
We bought a 2 day pass which included all the bus tours and the boat tour. We then did a round the city tour to get an idea of where places we wanted to see were. The boat tour was excellent We had exceptional weather which helped make the river trip so good. The next day we took the Royal Tour to see Royal Yatch Britannia RY entry tickets are extra. Tour guides and drivers very helpful recommended.
Very awesome experience reall value for money the staff and bus drivers are so lovely and helpful free headphones for the tour with a map. Hop on hop off helps reduce the need to walk everywhere.
An excellent hop on, hop off tour bus around the sights of Edinburgh. The circular tour takes around an hour, subject to traffic and what seemed like endless roadworks, Your ticket allows you to get on and off at the stops along the way, so you can visit the attractions enroute. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from time of first use, so you get your moneys worth. An audio commentary is available using the earphones provided.
Edinburgh Bus Tours is an effective and efficient way to get to know the city, although if you like walking most of the attraction are fairly close. With your ticket you can swap among 3 lines and expand your tour within the 24 hrs of the first usage of the tickets. I recommend to buy them online and just scan them as you enter the bus for the first time. Our kids really enjoyed the time in the bus and it gave us a bit of a rest from walking all day.
Great value for money, with all their tours you get a great overview of the city. All the guides and drivers are super friendly and helpful.
