Had a wonderful experience buying car from Eden Basingstoke, we received a excellent treat and deal with Amir, since the first day till the delivery day. Honestly he had exceed our expectations. Very happy specially with Amir’s service. Definitely the man that you need to go to.
Eden are very helpful and available when they want you to buy a car. After you’ve bought their service is appalling. Lies, false promises and they don’t seem to have any idea. Never had such bad service from a motor dealer. Especially a main dealer and I’ve dealt with a few. My advice for what it’s worth if you want to buy a Hyundai find another dealer it will be well worth going the extra distance.
Honestly wouldn’t even give one star. Visited as booking in a test drive for a specific car. Booked via online but then had a call from the actual dealership to confirm and book it all in. She even asked if I wanted to place a deposit on it if I was 100% on getting it. On the day of the test drive I wasn’t greeted by anyone. Told someone I was there for a test drive that had been booked in. Turns out the car was lent out as a courtesy car good job I never put a deposit down sales person said sorry do I want to re book. Clearly I said no I travelled well over an hour for this specific car and they didn’t seem to care at all. Clearly didn’t want the sale. Ended up ordering the car elsewhere.
Service dept are non contactable. They don’t call you back they take so long to even look at your car. It took 2 weeks to do a simple job and no offer of a courtesy car. While we waited for repair work to be carried out then told by the dealer they had Lots of Hyundais breaking down !!!
Unfortunately not the best experience. I had originally had a good experience when purchasing my CX-5. However when I went to purchase my Citroen C1 there seemed to be nothing but issues. I had an email confirmation to collect my car on a certain date. When I turned up they seemed perplexed that I was there. It seems there head office just send out emails saying your car is ready when it is not. For this inconvenience they offered to pay for a full tank of petrol. However this cost is not that much seeing as I have had to pay for admin fees to change my insurance. and the fuel cost to get there for me essentially was the price of the fuel. Or at lest 80% of it. But more importantly I spent just shy of 3 hours travelling and waiting. I then go to collect the car a second time. The car has no fuel in it as they forgot. Thus making me go out and get it myself, wasting more of my time. They did offer me 50% off my next service, however, this is a hollow as I explained it would be more costly and time consuming to travel to Eden centre to do this. I would have been happy with car mats. However they insisted it was my problem, and chose not to discuss they matter further. Will not be going back to this eden centre.
Very professional, helpful, friendly and polite. Always happy to help with any issues. After buying my car from here I realised I had wrong wheel nut. Phoned Eden Basingstoke they sorted it out straight away after I came to garage. Everything was done impressively quick!
Just had my i30N purchased from here in for its second service. We have another Hyundai as well a Tucson and it's very convenient to be able to have both cars serviced here, especially using their "do some work while you wait" area. A couple of comments on the most recent service. It was rather suspicious that Eden phoned me almost immediately after the "Service due in XXX miles" indication appeared in the car. I wonder if the always-connected Hyundai BlueLink service alerts the Hyundai HQ that your car is ready to be booked in shortly, or perhaps it was just a coincidence. The "while you wait" service on the day did seem to take a lot longer than previously a bit over 2 1/2 hours but not a problem as I had plenty of work to do and the free wi-fi is a decent speed. My main complaint is that they disconnected my dashcam and left it disconnected and did not mention this to me. I was therefore driving around for the last day or so with the dashcam unknowingly not recording, and it was only by chance that I noticed and reconnected it today. Good job I did not have an accident that would have gone unrecorded. Request to Eden - PLEASE MENTION TO CUSTOMERS if you have disabled their dashcam! Thanks! And word of warning to other customers - check that your dashcam is as expected when you leave.
Worst customer experience I’ve had in my life. Bought a car in July. Initial visit was positive - salesman was friendly, knowledgeable. Bought the car Golf and arranged to pick up Tuesday 9th August after some minor repairs at the local VW garage, which Eden were arranging. The Friday before pick-up, I called to ask if the repairs had been done. With an 8 day old baby and a busy job, I didn’t want to travel there the following Tuesday just to be told it wasn’t ready. “We’ll call you back tomorrow” they said. I waited. No call. So on Monday, I called again. “I just want to check if my car will be ready tomorrow”. “We’ll call you back”, they promised. I waited. No call. So on Tuesday morning I dutifully turned up with my part ex. Guess what? “Your car isn’t ready I’m afraid sir”. It was a different guy to the one I’d met before. I said “look mate, I’m sure this isn’t your fault, but I called twice to make sure this wasn’t going to happen, you never called me back, now I’ve driven here from Farnham just to be told that it’s not ready. I’m sure you can understand that is pretty frustrating?”. I was impressed by his response. “Let me look after you sir”, he said. I will personally call the VW garage, and we’ll get the car delivered to you in Farnham”. “Great”, I replied. “When?” “Today or tomorrow”, he said, and took my details. 11 days later, I’m still waiting to be contacted. And I’d quite like my car. So, if you work at Eden Hyundai in Basingstoke and you see this, pls can you ask your Customer Service team - sorry, your Sales team, because once you make a sale, there is no service - to give me a call. I’d appreciate it, and so would my three-week old, as we’d be able to use his car-seat. It’s easy to be average, but it takes real dedication to be this woefully inept.
My wife's Mazda was in for a service, the team and service reception were very efficient and professional. The wife decided to have a electric loan car as part of a test for her next car. The Fiat 500e ICON was brought up to the door and all the features and driving was explained. Great Service thank you.
Wish I could give no star My husband bought I car from here 2 years ago. He kept taking it back due to the fact the vehicle was drinking oil. The service department told him that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle now needs a new engine due to the fact because there was a problem in the number 1 cylinder. The after service from this garage is disgusting. Do not buy from them
