It took two minutes for my flat tyre to be fixed, it was done with a jolly great conversation, useful advice and a great price. I shall be back! Thank you for your help!
Great bike shop with friendly owner. Took my bike in when the pedal fell off whilst cycling and they were able to fix it quickly and at a reasonable price. I also bought some bike lights. One of them was faulty, but I took it in the following day and he replaced it with a new on straight away and free of charge. Excellent service all round.
Had my bike serviced here - decent price and seemed to do a good job - but the gentleman running the shop there couldn’t have been any less friendly. Perhaps he had a bad day - but can’t think of a time recently when I had a more uncomfortable interaction at a place of business. I arrived at 5.50pm on the dot and when I was walking up to the door, he started closing the shutter 10 mins before they close so I had to knock on the window to stop it so I could collect my bike. He looked at me like I was a nuisance for coming to pick up my bike and pay for the service. While I’m always looking to support local businesses, I’d recommend going somewhere else where they’re more grateful and just more pleasant.
I’ve been going to E1 Cycles for years and I’m very satisfied with their service. It also helps that the owner is very positive and humorous. I’ve had my punctures fixed, got puncture proof tyres and since had no punctures, got my bike serviced, and it has all been a great experience. They called me whenever there were issues with my bike that I wasn’t aware of, no problem. I think the price is fair. I have since moved away from the area, but I work nearby, so I still go back.
This place is great. After a bad experience with servicing at another local bike place, this guy ironed out all the problems on the spot. I've subsequently bought equipment there - don't know the guy's name but he is completely trustworthy and you can rely on the advice. I now wouldn't go anywhere else. Update October 2021 - still so impressed with these guys. Fast, honest, no nonsense.
Very friendly and accommodating. Had my hydraulic breaks sorted, bleeding and squeaking , very reasonable and quick . I’ll not be going back to Halfords again.
Read all the negative reviews before visiting. Had £1500 to spend on a bike but the customer service was lacking. Basically they don't care for your custom so you're better off going elsewhere. Not even a goodbye or acknowledgement as I left the shop. Also some of the bikes seem overpriced so won't be back here even though it's a local business to me.
I was walking past the area and was very pleased to discover an independent bike shop in my area and decided to pop in this afternoon to buy a few parts and accessories for my bike. I walked in around 4pm this afternoon and the shop was dead and empty with no customers and stood there at the entrance for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to serve or acknowledge me but I was left standing and very disappointed. A gentleman was behind the counter on the phone who made no attempt or effort to acknowledge my presence and he couldn’t have been any less friendly even if he tried! I am always looking to support independent bike shops whenever I have the opportunity and choice to do so, however I suggest going elsewhere more reputable who would be more grateful – at least you would get acknowledged and treated better than I was earlier this afternoon. Terrible experience and they could benefit from some better customer service and making effort to acknowledge their customers rather than leaving them standing for over 15 minutes! I will not be going back to that store and would rather pay more at another independent bike and be treated with some respect. Quite honestly the worst customer service experience in a very long time. Go to an independent bike shop or at least to a different one but avoid this place!
One the best place you can go get your bike repaired. The service they provide is incredible the stuffs are so friendly. If you have punctured on your bike they will fix it for you in 5 minutes unlike Halfords takes 2 days.
