We've had a lovely afternoon in the garden here. Nice setting in sunshine. Inside nicely decorated and warm friendly service. Food was brought out to us by pleasant member of staff. Good portion size and well presented. Mr enjoyed his, I ordered fish chips and peas, all home made, no processed food here. Fish was best I've ever had and peas were fabulous as was tartar sauce. Bursting with flavour. Hidden country side gem. 5 stars from start to finish.

What an amazing pub in a beautiful part of Northumberland. The room was well set out for a small family. It was adequately equipped with a very clean en suite. The only downside is that the noise from the bar carries through therefore making it difficult to sleep for young children. That said, it was nice music being played so not a massive problem. The breakfast was good but I would have liked to have seen local produce used considering the pub is largely inhabited by local farmers. The staff were really friendly and we received a really warm welcome. The lady who served our breakfasts was especially nice and helpful and really good with the children. Overall, a fantastic B and B , o would love to stay here again and perhaps try an evening meal as the menu looked very appealing.

Excellent customer service couldnt do enough for you lovely owner. Prices reasonable and have a new chef who is introducing new dishes to menu.Has a open fire traditional pub feel.
