I used to be a regular customer at The Sun Inn, Morpeth, but I haven't gone back in a few months because I was so disappointed with their food. Since It has been taken over by a new owner, I thought I should give it a try.nnSo I went back with my friend today and I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly and warmly welcoming, and our dog was treated so well!nI ordered roasted Salmon and my friend had chicken with garlic sauce. The food was excellent, and we finished every last bit on our plates. We enjoyed it so much and I couldn’t fault the level of service and food. I would definitely recommend everyone to give the Sun Inn a try when you are in Morpeth!
Sunday lunch with 10 family members and 2 dogs .nFood was delicious, one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had as a vegetarian. Meat eaters also very happy nEnormous portions and good variety. Vegetables came separately and not shown in pic .
It was to busy for me we got to te table and they quickly asked us what we wanted to eat i had not seen the menu,there was plenty meat on the plate for a Sunday lunch we asked for some extra chip's which looked horrible and greasy we left them.
Three of us popped into The Sun Inn last night for the first time since the new owners took over, and honestly, it was outstanding. The food was spot on — full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and generous without being over the top. The home cooked chips were outstanding.nnThe service was just as good. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive without hovering, and happy to chat. It had that lovely relaxed atmosphere where you feel welcome the moment you walk in, and we never felt rushed.nnThe whole place has a great vibe now — warm, lively, and clearly run by people who care about what they’re doing.nnWe’ll definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Visited The Sun Inn for the Halloween Quiz on Sunday night and very much enjoyed both the quiz and the food that was included. An unexpected treat and very tender roast beef! We enjoyed the food so much we visited again last night with friends for tea. We both had the best belly pork, mash and veg, very tasty and well presented. Our friend had the garlic chicken breast, chips and salad and said that it was delicious, especially the fantastic home made chips. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be back for both the Sunday Quiz and to try more food from a very exciting menu!
