Dear [Library/Team], I recently visited your facility with the intention of using a PC to print some documents. However, I was informed upon arrival that the internet access is turned off 15 minutes prior to closing time. Unfortunately, this information was not readily available beforehand, I also pointed out that Google did not indicate this restriction which led to my misplanning. I hope this note can serve as a helpful reminder to others in the future and save them from making a similar trip. When I inquired about printing, the staff mentioned that they could not assist even if I emailed the documents to them. I was also informed that the staff never went onto Google, yet I noticed that my comments on Google were responded to the next day. Could you please update the Droylsden Library section to reflect the PC and internet shutdown policy, noting that they are disabled 15 minutes before closing? This would help ensure customers are better informed and able to plan their visits more effectively. I look forward to your prompt update and appreciate your attention to this matter.
Not very big library however staff is lovely always helpful. Love going there with my 11 year old son. Phone charging and sitting arrangement for reading, computer are availabl. It has disabled access and also a WC.
I love it here, since the library has been refurbished it looks beautiful and very modern! They have ports to charge your phone and small cubicles which you can use to read, charge your phone or just have some quiet time! For a smaller library, they have plenty of books, a great variety within all genres and have made an amazing use of space to make the library look huge! I just wish this library was open for more hours as it isn’t open much throughout the week, honestly I prefer this library to Tameside library! Five stars!
Not a great selection of books, but you can order online. Lovely bright spacious place, cubicles to work in the warmth, and it looks like there are lots of activities for toddlers. And the staff is always friendly and helpful
Books and books and more books, loads of them and this is a great community asset. Pity the staff think they are their own books... Just joking Really the staff are brilliant and need a pay rise from Tameside MBC. Really helpful staff, computers also available. There is a small car park which is free
I have been phoning at least twice an hour for 2 days. Nobody in answering the phone. I am disabled, so can’t just pop in. This library is inaccessible to disabled people if you aren’t answering the phone. I have tried phoning every library in Tameside for the last 2 days. No answer anywhere. Very disappointing, but sadly how life goes when you have a disability. No point in complaining, all you get is we’re understaffed, underfunded, then people wonder why things like libraries close. They close because people can’t access the facilities
Modern bright place. Computers too close together. Some have more space now. Someone is listening. Can't fault the place otherwise.
The library looks and feels fantastic since the move whilst all of the staff are incredibly helpful.
They seem to be open when the staff feel like opening which is bad for my disabled mother.....
Safe and warm place to go and children very welcome
