This practice has had some changes. Nevertheless, I have been with the surgery for 15 years. The doctors are friendly and approachable. Appointments are booked on an urgent basis from 8am to 8.30am. Lines can be busy on some days. As a worst case scenario, sometimes, I am on the call over 30 mins and the call gets cut off. This is disappointing. No idea if the staff do this as lines are busy or it is a technical glitch. Once through to Reception, can advise why an appointment is needed and an appointment is given on the day. In the last few weeks, I have been asked to give my number and a doctor will call back to discuss, and a doctor does call back 100%. Recently, I used the online appointments booking form. It was very effective. After a doctor reviews the form, further information can be provided including attaching pictures. If needed, the doctor can give me an appointment on the day or alternatively, send a prescription directly to my pharmacy. There a lot more positives than negatives. For the covid vaccines including Booster, the procedure in place was excellent, plenty of space, trained staff to help complete the forms and short waiting times. I have no intention of changing my Doctor and am happy with Sai Medical Centre.
For some reason I have been registered at this surgery removed from my actual doctors despite living 63 miles away and not having been in the area for at least 4 years. Seems dodgy.
Right you can change your number all you want but still won't make you answer the phones any quicker.... LOL You tell us to ring at 8am but by the time you answer all the appointments have all been taken. If all appointments go that quick the surgery has too many patients. Everyone who is a patient at the surgery should be able to at least book an appointment. And ringing at 8am in the morning when everyone else will be ringing at the same time is just ridiculous. And as for telling the receptionist THE HELP my business they can sod off. I DIDNT KNOW THE REPTIONIST HAVE A MEDICAL DEGREE
Not easy to get an appointment, if one is booked it’s a telephone consultation which does not suit everyone. I’m a student and cannot carry my phone in school with me. Drs and nurses are brilliant but overall patient care is lacking, new system of appointments means the most vulnerable can’t get to see a clinician. Not happy with overall service, needs a lot of improvement. We need more routine face to face appointments which we can book as it will allow us to take time off school/work, rather than waiting hours for a call.
When you have a problem it is said seek advice from your GP. At this surgery when you eventually get through the receptionist askes you your problem and somehow they become doctor's and tell you what to take. We've been with this surgery for a very long time, since it was Dr thwait back in sandwell street. It was excellent service always got an appointment the same day. Could always speak to your doctor. Since its moved here & merged with next door the service is appalling. Always get told doctors are busy but when you go there it's always empty. Glad we moved from there. There is so many negatives about this surgery.
If i could give a minus 1000 i would. Takes an eternity to answer calls usually have to call numerous times as they keep disconnecting you when you reach the reception disgusting abysmal staff and service. Had the district nurse call them many times from our home and has had the same issues.. The staff are incredibly rude and arrogant. Why do they work in s field that requires care and consideration when they cant deliver. Only exception is hannah. Shes the only decent admin staff employed.
To speak to someone to book at appointment is a pain. Then when someone does answer after 20 minutes of being caller 1 you are given attitude. There is "no sorry for keeping you waiting how may I help". when questioned as to what i'm calling about i try to give as much detail, but its still not enough or it doesn't warrant an emergency appointment. What gives a receptionist the right to make that decision? Do they have the necessary skills to determine how Ill someone is to be able to reject them...I think not!!! I would move to another surgery but it is the closest one to me, since they decide to collate several surgeries into one and make them all terrible. I would not personally give this surgery one star , but you have to just to post the review.
This is the worst surgery I have ever known. 1. The phones take for ever to get answered and when your in their you see atleast 4 receptionist 2. You have receptionist working on the front that are just sitting at the computer instead of assisting patients, surely if you are not there to help patients you should be working in a back office 3. When you try to book appointments you can't book them more than 2-4 weeks in advance due to the rota not being done 4. After phoning today to book an appointment I'm now told that receptionist can not book appintments anymore, you first book a phone consultation, which they can do, and then after speaking to the doctor they will book your appointment during the phone consultation, and if you miss the phone call, you have to phone back and ask for another phone consultation How can a doctors surgery be run like this, you are advised to consult your own gp instead of going to a&e, and rightly so as to many go to a&e and don't need to be there, but how can you consult your gp when you cant even get an appointment to see them, surely this is going to put more pressure on people going to a&e when they dont need to or having to go to walk in centres which have 4 hour plus waiting times and can't cope with the pressures either
Worst surgery in the walsall area, I don't know why nhs allowed them,
Amazing doctors! Very pleased with them, nurses are amazing and never fail to put a smile on your face. Very gentle and caring when it comes to my daughter getting her injections! Couldn’t thank them enough.
