As far as NHS dentists at the moment, these guys are the best. Been with them a few years and can’t really say anything negative. Receptionists are always professional when being dealt with on the phone and are always helpful to the maximum they can be. Have had a lot of very serious tooth trouble lately and Hathaway have managed to fit me in every time with George and Rhiannon. Both very friendly and approachable, always checking in during each procedure to make sure I’m comfortable even though they’re on a time limit. Sophie is my usual dentist and she is also a pleasure to be treated by. I’m keeping everything crossed that this dentist doesn’t go private and kick all of its NHS patients off the books like other dentists have. Being registered with Hathaway, I actually want to go to the Dentist rather than put it off because I know exactly what I’m going to get.
My dentist moved to Bristol and since then the service is rubbish. I have a cavity and went for two visits. They told me that they couldn't see a problem and now it looks like I'm going to loose my tooth. I made videos though and I will sue them if I loose my tooth
Went to make an appointment only to be told I was no longer on their list. It seems that because they say I didn't respond to an email in July 2021offering online bookings, I was removed. I did respond and went online only to get a message that there were no appointments available. This email did not say that failure to contact the clinic would mean removal from their list. Absolutely furious and disgusted!
Never been overly impressed with this dentist, reception staff look through you when your waiting like your not there and are not helpful, the dentist I saw was great but always trying to get something done on top of the check up so don't always trust their advice.
Joined this dental practice a year or so ago. During this time I've had routine check ups and other work done. The reception staff are pleasant and I've always been seen on time. Free parking is available on-site. You'll find the dental practice upstairs in the Medical Centre.
I had a recent tooth extraction of my wisdom tooth in Devizes and unfortunately resulted in a massive infection the following day but it was on the weekend. I managed to get an emergency appointment with Hathaway straight away that Monday and unfortunately I was unwell Thursday so had to go back with another emergency appointment. The reception staff were so helpful and quickly got me an appointment without any trouble. I saw Daniellla Sanders who sent me to the RUH, dressed the area and prescribed more antibiotics for me. I am really grateful for all there help and how quickly they saw me due to being in so much pain - the service I needed in a time of crisis when I was feeling very poorly. Thankyou all at hathaway for your help and I'm very grateful for your service when I needed it the most. Best wishes x
I had to make an appointment to repair my broken tooth, I'd gone into the dental practice yesterday morning to make my appointment the receptionist was very helpful and offered me an appointment within half an hour but I was unable to attend, so she offered me an alternative appointment this afternoon. I saw Annie who was so sweet and caring she removed the residue of an old filling and replaced with a new one, she ensured that I knew what was happening every step of the way.. The entire experience was pain free! The 30minutes flew by! What I thought was going to be a daunting experience ended up being a pleasure! Thank you Annie and your assistant!
Never had a problem before, every check up I've been happy with.. The occasional cancel by text but thats as bad as it gets. Until now that is.. Cancelling all the time it seems. Actually arrived at my last appointment to be told the dentist was on holiday. "we sent a text about a month ago cancelling.... Oh wait a minute, sorry the text didn't go through".. Disappointed and let down again. Starting to get tired of it. Considering other options.
Dentists are great and centre is new and modern, but the only aspect that lets it down are the receptionists who can be very rude. A couple of times they have shouted my personal medical info in front of a reception full of people from my town. Another time I had to stand waiting 5 mins to be checked in, then because I looked impatient as didn't want to miss appointment she lied that the dentist had told her it was too late to see me so I had to make another appointment another day, so she put it down as a missed appointment where they would take me off their books if I missed another appointment.
turned up for my appointment and was told the dentist was sick and they had left a message on my answer phone to cancel because dentist was sick. when I got home this was correct but it was less than a hour before my appointment and I had already left home. then I asked for the balance of my 3part treatment they said £156 , well seeing I have already paid £156 out of the original cost of £244 I was not a happy chap, seems the dentist decided the 3rd part of my treatment was a separate treatment with another charge of £256. not very good will be sorting this out very soon seems a bit of a rip off to me. found out after I got home the dentist went sick before 9am they rang me at 12-54 pm I left home 12-50pm with 12 miles to travel.
