When you actually get an appointment and manage to see them, they're decent - doing a good job in difficult circumstances. Unfortunately, you can't get that far because of reception. Almost 2 hours from 8' o'c, going from number 15 in the queue to number one and then someone just hangs up the receiver - it goes to to the busy signal. I've done this twice now trying to re-arrange an online appointment because their system doesn't allow you to rearrange online. And meanwhile my symptoms keep getting worse.
They send you a message to say your due for a smear test but they expect you to call and wait ages to get through !!!! They should make these types of appointments easier to encourage women to have the test. Or you complete an E consult form for another matter and never get a call back! How can this surgery be kept running this way, it’s always the same with this place they make it so hard for anything. Nothing ever changes
Worst Gp ever experienced, very rude female receptionist. Also, my sister tried to get a cream for her spots that she used before and has helped her. They told her to do it through the NHS app, the app asked for confirmation from the GP. She called the GP waited 40mins and the receptionist said he had “No comment” then hung up. Don’t know how this GP is still running.
In the past 12 years good caring and considerate doctors have left, Dr Higgins, Strommer, Tang, Ali, Manheim, Acharaya. Now new doctors come and leave every few weeks, even then these doctors will never be as considerate as the doctors mentioned above. They don't give nearly as much attention as the old doctors, they rush you during appointments. Management probably doesn't exist at this practice. They offer inferior versions of medications as a method of cost cutting even though the hospital clearly prescribes the advanced versions of certain medications. If you try to argue with them they'll say there's no difference and sometimes they'll cut off the hospital prescribed medication without notice for arguing with them. The receptionists are basically the acting doctors of this practice. There used to be a portrait of Dr Manheim in the reception but they've removed it years back, they could've left it as a sign of respect. Shame to see what was once the best GP in the area turned into the worst.
The majority of doctors here are incredibly rude, dismissive and probably under trained. The receptionist are abit slow but ok. They almost never run on time I've gone to appointments on time and have waited to be seen for an hour or more. A couple doctors reek of smoke and then Seen premature babies. The positives are the very few mostly female doctors not the rude nurses are amazing
I have not joined last year after nearly 30 years with my Surgery, my first experience with this Morum House was Reception seems to be terrible when you wait very long time and some just jump que or the receptionist carries on talking to some Random person. Dr did not use much but they are ok, lastly the worst part is making an appointment, Not in this year, online appointment system is waste of time, NOT A SINGLE SLIT AVAILABLE FOR WHOLE Money NTH! is that being real? I just think it's appalling when you need to see a Dr, making a appointment it just will not happen, so for this reason I have today signed up to another surgery. Les than 8 months, no confidence I will be able to see a Dr, imagine the elderly or my mum who has got no clue in making appointment
My family were with this surgery since they moved from Stuart Crescent across to this building, which is a long time. All the good Dr's have left now and the one's left are horrible the receptionists are no better. The whole setup is unprofessional and badly managed. The Dr's do not listen or engage with patients and the receptionists are rude, miserable and very unhelpful. My poor mum was ill with a heart condition which after seeing 3 Dr's from Nov to Dec 2015, they all failed to spot the signs of how ill she was. We asked for her to be referred back to the specialist clinic at the hospital and they still refused to do that until eventually in Jan 2016, we had to call and ambulance and she was admitted into hospital. I wrote a complaint to Morum House regarding the treatment of my mum and as of todate, they can't even be bothered to formally respond to my allegations. My mum died in Feb 2016 and I'm in the process of moving the rest of my family away from this surgery because I can't bare to step foot in there again. Don't even want to give it 1 star but have no choice because that's the minimum. All the other reviews give an accurate view of this surgery. Make sure you read them all before you decide to register there because you'll regret it when you do need to see or speak to someone there.
you will never get an appointment until 2 weeks after needing it, so you would have either gone elsewhere or died by then! if you want a prescription the staff at the desk for this generally just chats or does their work ignoring you waiting to be served. receptionists are usually rude and unhelpful. i would say most of the doctors are pretty good though, its just hard to actually get to see one!
Useless practice. The front desk staff are rude and obnoxious, good luck if you need to make an appointment as you won't get one. The receptionists want to know what your medical issue is before they pass you over or book you a 2 week later appointment. What medical training have these receptionists had? That information is private between you and the doctor. Everytime you call you get the same recorded message that says ''Due to high call volumes'' etc. If they are always so busy then stop taking on more patients. I just tried to call and and I got the ''We're sorry but due to high call volumes please call back at a less busy time'' message and then they cut me off. Worse mistake I ever did was transferring to this practice after I moved into the local area! Avoid!!
I called today 23rd Sept at 2.24pm to get an urgent appointment as I found a lump/cyst in my stomach. I went through emergency and the receptions called Judith told me that there is no appointment and told me to call tomorrow morning. I just couldn't believe it. I said to her that its urgent and explained the situation and she still said no appointment. Then I said I want to speak to practice manager, shes said practice manager isn't in today. I said again this is urgent and I need an appointment she just didn't care. I said to her I am going to compliant about her and she said do. I dont know whats going on with this GP. I wish I can find another one. After over 20 yrs beeping at Morum House MC, it seems not getting better. I tried to book an online appointment but you cant do that either. It gives only option with to book nurse. I sent an email to them on 5th July about my hospital appointment out come still waiting to hear from them.HS
