Absolutely appalling care. They have left me unable to eat or drink for 8 months without any adequate care. The receptions are lovely and Dr carlton is fabulous but Michelle Nicholson the nurse practioner is an absolute disgrace how she treat me today. She shouldn't be aloud to work there as she has a complete lack of regard for people with deteriorating mental health and did not do her job at all Instead stood around slagging people off with mental health prior to my appointment with her friends. Whinfield have blocked my complaint online. Disgraceful practice
Absolutely awful surgery. I have never known anything like it. Says I haven’t had my meds reviewed yet someone called me May/June time said they were covering for my own GP and proceeded to go through my meds. Apparently this never happened as the computer says no. I am horrified and they don’t care. Save yourselves go somewhere else. Wish I could have given zero stars
Disgusting lack of regard for their patients. Took it upon themselves to cancel an appointment I waited a month for, on the very same morning, and give the justification "well we tried to call you"...? "So why did you cancel it?", to which they replied "well you've had dealings with the doctor on the online portal, so we cancelled this appointment", then to almost blame me for not ringing back my missed calls, to inevitably press redial up to 80 times as I have in the past. Pointers going forward: 1 don't take it upon yourselves to sit in your office and decide who deserves an appointment slot 2 definitely don't cancel it after someone has waited a month for it 3 don't cancel it the same morning when people are likely still asleep 4 if you absolutely MUST cancel an appointment, don't text asking them to call you back regarding "a message" - text the patient saying "your appointment has been cancelled". 5 everyone should avoid this joke of a place doctors aside, as they're pleasant and good, and today's receptionist had the raw end of the deal communicating this message to me while the decision makers probably sat in the office behind with the blinds shut. They should have came out and faced up, but inevitably they didn't. Changing practices asap, I've had enough of it.
I have been a patient for over 20years and always get the help I need very professional and polite and friendly staff and we all know how difficult the last couple of years have been but I have been very happy and grateful for the help I received you have to be patient and understand that there are a very busy my doctor is amazing and totally understand and trying to help me
The worst Doctors in Darlington worst staff I've ever dealt with attitudes are horrendous over the phone . Been here since I was about 5 and it use to be the best in town . There is 1 woman who is amazing and can't do enough the rest don't even wanna answer the phone and talk over you assume stuff without letting you speak first just plain rude I never thought I'd leave this place but almost every month they put my health at risk by not putting my meds through on time when I order them and making me wait sometimes up to a week without tablets 100 percent disgraceful or and they couldn't give a flying...
My doctor Dr. Kaufmann is excellent but getting an appointment and/or JUST getting through is a nightmare. Made over 20 calls a day for the last 3 days to get through to them and constantly busy, not even a queue to hold in. One of the receptionists is also very rude and has upset me on several occasions and made me wait for over 3 weeks in pain to only give me a telephone appointment. Totally fed up with the poor service. Even the so called online consultation takes forever to complete and the reply I got was 'call the surgery to make an appointment' even though it was the rude receptionist who told me to use the online service. Totally totally sick. In pain and worried and getting ignored
This practice is doing a fantastic job and the team are genuinely caring. I was very impressed with the service I received with a potential cancer scare where I was seen the same day, referred immediately and everything resolved within a couple of days. I know that they are working very hard to address the issues with appointment availability, including triaging same-day requests and signposting patients to the most appropriate route for care. The sad fact is that there is more demand than it is physically possible to accommodate, and they must be commended for working hard to find ways to alleviate this.
Rude and not helpful at all. I actually dread to approach them now, because I know my mental health would deteriorate. The other day I went straight to the hospital because I knew it would have been useless to try to ring them and get an appointment.
Very unhelpful reception staff which is a shame as it pulls the surgery down. Multiple family Members misdiagnosed resulting in death and long term illness. Failure to make referrals. Overall we know the NHS is under a lot of pressure but the lack in care is mind-blowing with this surgery
Just rang surgery to get a gp out to see my 90yrs old mum, who has recently had to go to a & e twice because a gp would come out, has told us again to ring ambulance service rather than come out to see her
