Great place for kids of all ages. Lots of space for everyone and interesting playground areas. Good cafe and toilet facilities. There is a large lake with bookable watersports and although I personally haven't used these one of my grandsons aged nine has been to a birthday party involving canoeing which he enjoyed immensely. It seemed a good place too for dogs, we met lots of well behaved dogs and owners on our walk along by the lake.

Lovely park with a cute cafe, lots of geese, ducks and swans, and a large play park. On the lake there's also water sports and boat hire. Only complaint would be the wasps that were all over the grass mounds in the playground, but I understand this may be seasonal. We didn't get much of the walk done as it was very warm when we visited, but will definitely come back again.

Love coming here - food at the Dragonfly cafe is good, although on the pricey side. They do have an amazing playground for kids of all ages and the walk around the main lake is very pleasant. Don't forget you have to pay for parking.

A large country park, easy to get to and lots of parking, reasonably priced at £3 for 2 hours. It was a bit wet when we went, wellies would have been better. Good for prams, and there's an area for letting your dog off the lead. Didn't use the cafe, there's a nice pub over the road.

A nice place to walk around, well built up footpaths and a decent play area for children. Has a boat club, if you're into that, but the star for me is the newly refurbished café. Cream tea is lovely, food is homemade and well priced. 100% recommended for a post-walk lunch or tea and cake. Only 4 stars because I got lost there when I was a child and haven't ever really forgiven the place. Also, last year, my girlfriend got bitten by a huge fly there and got ill. Otherwise I recommend visiting
