I bought a sofa and recliner and a couple of tables from Eastbourne. The girl.that I dealt with was great. The stuff turned up in September 2022. I was very happy . Then one evening the sun shine on the new coffee table only to find a scratch. I'd had it a couple of days When I had time I popped in to tell them.. . I took a photo sent it in . Heard nothing for nearly 2 months . I went in to store Dec 2022. Same girl that sold it served me . Very lovely again. I said I've nothing . She checked , oh yes we need more pics can't see scratch . I zoomed in on the pic I'd sent . There it was bright as day . She went back in to see her manager . Manager says we need more pics. . I really couldn't be bothered to go through all the rigmarole so I just walked out . The manager or who ever was in charge was shocking . . After sales is appalling.
Apart from the long wait despite us informing a member of staff that we were wanting to purchase! It wasn't until we again approached the sales officeb that we were then attended to! Jason turned the situation around and we left with the purchase we wanted. And happy.
Really disappointed with the service provided by the DFS Team at Eastbourne. No one seems to know anything about my order. No one bothered to contact me for an update when that was what I been told would happen. Customer service none. This is not the DFS I knew since 2006 where Customer service was excellent. I think Lord Croft needs to retake DFS Stand up to the Game Guy's
This is our 2 year old Grey leather Freya sofa...delivered to the dump today. Sadly, we still have another 25...yes 25 interest free payments to go. The cushions sunk, the grey paint peeled and the cushions slide off the sofa wverytime we sat on them. All DFS could offer us was a number to ring so we could pay for the repairs. We will never ever use DFS again.
DO NOT ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS! M3ZPB3QAF Ordered a £5K settee some months ago. Delivery date confirmed The afternoon before delivery received an email stating not being delivered and had no idea when. Rang got told have no idea when its going to be delivered. I registered a complaint and was told 72 hours later would get a call. Four weeks later, nothing. Rang got told in stock and waiting to go on system but would ring back the same day. No callback. Rang got told not in stock and to ring back at the end of July for an update. Explained that we have no settee and sitting on borrowed chairs whilst wait. Wife pregnant and just wants to sit on settee. They didn't care. Registered four complaints and not one call back. Customer service have not got a clue so dont waste your time chasing either be patient and hope you get your order or cancel your order.
During the delivery of the sofa the delivery staff dropped the sofa on our internet box. They tried to hide it but then told us that someone will be in contact to rearrange delivery as the sofa didn’t fit through the door. We didn’t receive any calls for over a week and once we went in and spoke to who I assume was the store manager or supervisor, he was incredibly rude and told us that because we didn’t report it within 24 hours, that they’re unable to do anything we were waiting 7 months for the delivery of this sofa The drivers told us to wait for a call so we were going to report it then. Since then we’ve received the below message. “We have passed on your information and picture to the delivery team who have been spoken to with regards to the damage, Unfortunately following on from the investigation they do not believe the damage was caused by them so would not be held liable for the costing involved with resolving it. Due to the amount of time taken to report the damage we would not be able to take this matter further.” I would strongly advise against getting anything from here.
Great selection but miss peak weekend times if you require service....
From ordering on 14th July to early delivery on 17th Sept the process was well organised, including removal of our old sofas by Clearabee very nice guys. Very efficient.
So we visited the store for a 3rd time looking for the right sofa and size We walked in asked a question which the lady looked blankly at us and walked to find someone else. The guy who had seen us before said “ohh you to again” as if we were a burden. We were prepared to spend money and get a decent sofa. His attitude was disgusting and the store as a whole has very poor customer service. I would not visit this store again I’d rather drive to Hove. Do not recommend this store.
Customer service is diabolical. Get ignored when you wait for someone. Came in store to speak about my damaged goods that was delivered to me. Will never order again
