I absolutely love going to David Harvey’s. It is my 6 week treat and have been enjoying this for a number of years. Stacey basically saved my hair many years ago - it was a real state! Now, with her and the expertise of all of the Salon staff, my hair is so healthy, long and the most wonderful red shades that I have ever seen!!! Would not dream of going anywhere else. I booked an appointment on a whim on a one day visit to Newcastle, and I wasn't disappointed! I have very unruly hair which hadn't  been touched for over a year, and Graham, who did my cut was just fab. He gave my hair a treatment as well, and actually the service was all round 5 star. The apprentice who washed my hair had beautiful manners, and gave me a head massage, the salon is beautiful, the place was busy. Many clients appeared to be regulars, and it had a very welcoming atmosphere.  Graham was delightful; epitome of the old school hairdresser; complimentary and interested without being solicitous, very attentive to clients' wishes but not afraid to put his own stamp on the whole experience. I left feeling polished. Also, Graham is a wealth of knowledge if you are new to Newcastle and interested in local history,  as well as other miscellaneous subject matter ...; The time just flew by chatting! I highly recommend this salon and if this is typical of a random Newcastle consumer experience, I think I 'll be visiting again soon

Don’t even deserve a 1 star. Did a patch test 3-4 weeks back and told to call after few weeks as they are fully booked. They didn’t took my details and now asking me to do patch test again and book later days. The manager and receptionist was rude. Proper mishandling or customers. I have no clue what kind if service they give for cx’s if the dealing with potential customers is like this.

It was my first time coming to the salon and as soon as I entered I was warmly greeted and felt incredibly comfortable. Laura listened well to what I wanted to do with my hair and delivered it perfectly. She communicated clearly and made sure I was happy and comfortable throughout. Already booked my next appointment.
