Great little pub on Macurtain St. Note: it is rather small and I’ve seen it overflowing on certain days. Just popped in for an impromptu evening pint on a weekday and there was ample seating available at the bar and tables. I didn’t actually know that they served food, but I see some pics in the reviews. The pint was great. I dig the true Irish pub feel and I noticed a decent whiskey selection, especially the full line up of the Spot whiskies including the Gold. Would definitely return.
Excellent traditional Irish pub, cold beer friendly staff and eclectic patronsService: 5/5
Wasn't in Dan Lowry's tavern for a long time. The service the atmosphere ten out of ten I'll be back again shortly. The staff excellent thanks for a great night out Martin .Service: 5/5

Authentic style bar staff very friendly and a huge selection of whiskeysService: 4/5
Nice atmosfeer, very good bar. But only gluten free beer is Peroni. This could be better when I compare to other bars in Cork.
I am living locally a frequent visitor, always had a positive experience until last night. It was my birthday and I brought 3 friends with me and one female staff member was extremely rude and I was treated very badly on two occasions because I was standing at the end of the bar while I ordered my round. It’s a shame that a member of staff can treat a regular customer in that way. I will be taking my business elsewhere on McCurtain street in future.
We came to Ireland for a week, but only came to Cork on a day tour. Luckily, we swung into Dan Lowery's for lunch. Fantastic atmosphere, a great pint, and the best shepherd's pie I've ever had. Charming place with warm service. Definitely highly recommended.
Best pub in Cork if you want to have a conversation instead of battling loud music. A great selection of beers, stouts and whiskies in a busy but friendly atmosphere. The 125 year old pub, with it's 300 year old stained glass windows looks amazing too.
Lovely old style never changed. Fantastic range of whiskey from old cork to west cork.. USA. Tennessee..coffee a snack or a light lunch..friendly staff know the trade..take in a show at the Everyman theatre next door for pre or after drinks..
