Larry Tompkins Pub has a decent selection of beers available. Definitely a good place to watch sports and hang-out with the local crowd. The seating is a bit limited when it gets busy. The bathrooms are upstairs so when you get a bit tipsy the stairs add to the fun. The place is clean and the staff are generally friendly. We went as a group of four and drank in peace. You will have to fetch your own drinks. The food is normal bar food. It does the job and puts food in your belly.
Staff are so amazing and atmosphere brilliant, so close to the town, food very good, the only down fall is you have to walk up a very steep set of stairs to react tolite ,which is no good if you have a walking disability
After all my walking it was closed, a beautiful night and I enjoyed the walk..
Nice warm bar Belongs to Mr Larry Tompkins Cork player from the late 80s to mid 90s. Fabulous pints of Guinness or what every you may like to drink! They do hot food which seems to be very Popular here. There is a Function room up stairs for any special occasion with it's own bar upstairs! A great place to come watch Sport on large TVs! Live music here too at night! Staff are friendly and welcoming nice atmosphere here too. Great for Groups or just as a couple or on your own! Right near Bus station and the River Lee.
Came in twice today, once early on for a breakfast and was served by young guy and girl who were working behind the bar, we were served promptly, checked in on and the food was good - exactly what we were looking for. We came back with other friends about an hour later with the intention of staying for a few. We sat at the bar, and the treatment of staff by what appeared to be the female manager was a disgrace. She was rude, cutting and demanding. Both staff were serving and greeting customers. If they'd stood on their heads it wouldn't have been enough for her. She didn't stop for 1 minute berating them. Audibly knocking her staff to customers. Her "management style" is absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful. The only reason we didn't say anything while there was we were certain it would have been taken out on the staff.

This is a great pub with a good pint and fantastic atmosphere. They serve yummy food on the weekdays and reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and really nice. I love going here when I come to the city
Lovely bar and very reasonably priced breakfast. Went here for food when the cafe across the road was jammed. We got a great full Irish breakfast for less than the cafe and didn't need to que for a seat!
1st time in here.. have to say one of the friendliest pubs I have been in.. staff and patrons really welcoming... even during this pandemic there is a real warm feeling about this pub...and the pints are perfect...
Dropped into this highly recomnended pub on our trip to Cork. Really warm cosy and welcoming. Served by a lovely young guy. Great pint of Murphys. Did not eat hear but everything that was served to people around us looked lovely
