Flooding in first week as major water pipes wrongly connected, so new floor been removed and promise cost back of new floor never given. Now 3 weeks reporting balconies doors that not locking at all, lights are not working, etc. When you call so called site manager u hear from him "its busy" wow! Customers service at the office is not better; u can leave your phone numbers, complains, but next day no one knows nothing. I am waiting for my new lock to front door 4 months already!!!! Don't be full, choose different company, don't waist your time and money.
I purchased my main door flat from Cruden Homes and I must be honest I can’t recommend them enough. The process from start to finish was seamless. As I am a first time buyer I felt really nervous buying my first home off plan without seeing it. I had 6 months from reserving it until it was complete so it gave me more time to save for furnishings etc. The apartment exceeded my expectations in every way and I have not had much contact with customer care as there has been nothing much to report but when I did contact them about one minor issue they sorted it quickly. I will most certainly look to buy from Cruden again in the future when its time to get myself a house.
This is an honest review of our experience with Cruden. We initially purchased our property in June of 2018 and moved in April 2019. One thing I would say is do not expect them to update you of your property development process. Unlike other developers they don’t update you and let you know what’s happening on the inside in terms of plastering, kitchen fitting or tiling etc. However they will keep in touch to double check your choices and if there have been any issues along the way. We were always informed if there were going to be delays or issues and things were resolved before we got the keys. Our property was amazing, there was a few snags but they were sorted quickly and without a problem. The customer service side of things despite other reviews say it was bad we couldn’t have been happier with how things were handled. The Cruden team were always happy to help and if needed they contacted the site manager. We actually ended up getting his details for future problems if we ever need anything done instead of calling the office. All in all I’ve been happy with the experience we have had as first time buyers, there may have been a few bumps along the way but nothing has ever been too much trouble for Cruden and their team.
We purchased a townhouse from Cruden Homes and could not be happier with the standard and quality of our house. We looked around at other builders and quickly realised that there is a lot more included in a Cruden Home that others charge you for eg: Appliances, towel rails and we found the price really competitive. The customer care department have been quick to respond to a few small snagging items a window needed adjusted and a slab in the garden. We also looked at townhouses on other sites and found the layout of the Cruden home was far better than anything else we had seen.
Absolutely shocking builders i bought a house 2 years ago which was nice but since living there two problems have unfolded there has now been 2 leaks in the property the first they fixed, but recently i have seen a small black patch of mold appear next to my downstairs toilet basin so i checked the sink and the fittings had only been hand tightened. Now i am only an electrician to trade and i would have thought that a new build property would have to undergo some sort of commissioning test before it was handed over as do our electrics when we hand over a job. So how would this have ever passed a test if it was losing pressure? I have contacted cruden homes who have told me this was outwith my warranty and now they will do nothing and NHBC only cover structural damage. This has nothing to do with the warranty they should be fixing there poor workmanship that was handed over in a not satisfactory state. I have done nothing but recommend Cruden homes to my friends i suppose i had better now phone them and potentially apologize for making the mistake of recommending them. Do yourself a favor go with a proper builder not these cowboy armatures.
I have never dealt with such a shower of morons, bought a new flat 5 years ago and had to be moved out for a month just before Christmas as the flat had a major leak. Kitchen had to be ripped out and all the flooring I had paid to have fitted. They tried to replace the flooring with cheap laminate! They also lie to you about the true cost of factors fees just to reel you in. These people are rude, unprofessional and totally incompetent idiots who tell you lies to your face. Don't even consider buying from these clowns.
I wouldnt have another Cruden home in a gift. Most shabilly put together home i've lived in. Leaking pipe in loft plaster hacked to fit instead of cut. Crumbling brick walls. Kitchen wall under kitchen window not cemented not even real bricks. Finishing bricks surrounding the cheapest breeze blocks on the market. I noticed when i replaced the cheap nasty widows and doors!!! Cracked rough casting. Aluminium pins holding on gable end trims instead of screws, One gust of wind they are off. Leaking central heating pipes. Cheap radiators. I was born in a new build in 1969 the house and the street still looks as good as it did when i grew up in the 70's and 80's. This house will need to be demolished and re build. Complete and utter mess.
Really bad customer service. All they staff seem to do is just to put the blame on you or find excuses not to fix any slackings. Do not expect them to fullfill any post purchase warranty duties and be prepared to handle all the problems yourself if you do end up purchasing their properties. Once your payment reaches them, they literally just do not care what so ever.
