A rubbish experience. The ' hotel' is run by lazy receptionists who have no clue about anything. They came in my room and removed the fire extinguisher when I was out and didn't even bother to tell me. When I asked them about it the receptionist Mahssood said " oh it was us" seems like it's normal practise for them. They also treat other residents better. They will provide furniture to others and not to others even when you have complained on how bad moldy the furniture is. They cut of the hot water supply plus the WiFi. The place is a dump!
The hotel itself was ok. The breakfast was ok and so we're the rooms. Reception staff were friendly and helpful but one night someone I am guessing another guest suddenly came into my room. The quickly left the room and luckily nothing happened but it seemed that he was able to get into my room with his key card. This is a no go and unsafe hence why I can only give the hotel 1 star otherwise it would have been 3 stars but it was very starry to think that you suddenly have a stranger standing in your room at night time.
This place is all one hotel with gilroy court hotel. It's honestly the worst place to live in. It's a place for the homeless to be honest. In reception where they have a tv, a few chairs, the kitchen and diner.. all there is is drunk people arguing. I see on this website there offering full English no, it's just toast or cornflakes or Rice Krispies.... tea or coffee. All self service apart from the toast which the staff makes. There is a lovely statue and benches outside this hotel which the gate is perminatly locked so no one has access, so literally just to try attract customers. I went to staff and asked for a new bed base last week as mine had broken due to my kid sitting on side of it after having it two years, she started saying my room was a mess and I'd be evicted... I was shocked as my room was actually very tidy, so told her I think she's confused my room with someone else's and offered her access to my room straight away... she accepted and came in, sure enough it was tidy so I waited for an apology, instead I got told my walls had some blue tack on which I could be evicted for.. I told her this home is for my children as well and my daughter had put her #ArianaGrande and #LilMix posters up, she's going threw that stage at 10 years old but the worker didn't care and made that very clear, take it off or eviction. So I said is that it then, she looked around and pointed at the curtains... "they are not hanging on the curtain rail perfectly" .. I honestly couldn't believe my ears. I told the woman that these buildings croydon court hotel and gilroy court hotel are infested with rats/cockroaches/bedbugs ect ect and you come and tell me such stupidness. I told her to leave my room cause clearly she feels like an idiot and instead of simply apologising for mistake, she was reaching for anything. Then to top off the whole situation my initial request which was wanting a new bed base... I got brought a ripped up old looking bedbase which of course I refused after taking a quick video of it. Went back to reception and told them I need a new base, not an old rusty one... still now waiting... only been since Thursday 12th April 2018 I asked for one so it's only been 8 days so I'll give them a little more time. In mean time I share the double bed with my 10 and 11 year old boy and girl. Let's see how long this bed takes.
real poor state of rooms, poor customer service mainly for homeless people and different councils use them until they can find a suitable property for the tenants
I lived in there for 1 years and 16 days. The stuff is very friendly.
It's a nice place but these days, a place of this nature needs WI-FI.....
Terrible service from reception all have a can't be bothered attitude
Very unhappy, with services and NO Heating
Would give this a minus star if could......STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE....
