Lovely park with lots of animals and beautiful things to see around the grounds and a couple of kids parks to keep everyone entertained. The hall itself is spectacular to look at and has an ice cream and don't van next to it to fill your boots when it gets too warm or too cold. Free car parking too! A great day out for all.
Outstanding farm experience for my children, lots of animals, close up and hungry. Animal feed available at £2 for a huge pot of carrots. Very low cost for the whole family. Disabled access too. Nice cafe at the end too within budget. Lovely staff and they got out some of the rabbits and guinea-pigs for the kids to stroke at the end. Also some free roaming animals including an escapee lamb, chickens and a peacock . Animals clearly looked after well and cared for. Thankyou
We love this place. Lovely if you want a nice long walk, they've got a path that more or less goes right around the outside of the whole place. Takes a good hour or two. They really, REALLY need to fix the rest of the drive in though. They've done a lot of work on it recently but there's still a big bit full of holes near the car park - if you hit one of them you might lose a wheel lol.
Excellent for early morning walks, jogs or cycling. Very peaceful and quiet, later on gets quite busy though. It is an excellent green space for the area! Just watch out for litter... the only down side.
Went for the first time ever today for Parkrun. Lovely scenic park and I would return. Plenty of free parking at 9am. However please note the access road is poorly maintained with numerous potholes and severe speed bumps like mountains. I went over at approximately 3-4 mph and they were horrific. If you have a car with a low front end this access road is awful. Apart from that this is a nice park and I would return
Croxteth Hall is perfect for families with young children Play area; Two play areas one designed for babies and the other toddler plus. Babies had swings, climbing frame/ slide and see-saw The 'bigger' was really great for my toddler as she could access the lower platforms and climb with ease. This was larger with multiple slides and climbing things. Also had 2 swings and a disabled adapted swing for wheelchairs. Farm; costs entry pp optional food bowl too The farm is well maintained and houses a variety of farm animals including rare/ endangered farm animals. You can feed them and touch with care throughout. At the end there is a petting area for rabbits and guinea pigs. Farm cafe; there is a lovely cafe serving hot/ cold sandwiches and more. Children's lunchbox was ideal for us- sandwich, cupcake, crisp and a drink Picnic areas and plenty of green space to run around Things to note- the hall is currently closed and at peak times parking could be limited but we didn't have an issue
A really lovely hall and gardens only spoiled by the fact that the hall is closed for visitors. Free parking, cafe at farm, snacks and drinks in courtyard, children's play park, walled kitchen gardens, arboretum, parkland with lots of walking space and home to Myerscough college at Croxteth Park.
Great place for walks & bike rides. A big park and then there’s a little pirate park on your way out from the west derby village gate. Has an animal farm on side where kids can go pet & feed farm animals, some cafe’s too on site! Perfect spot for kids
Large park, which is clean and well-maintained. Parking is free, but the speed bumps and pot holes on the way in are horrendous. There is a pleasant waymarked 5km walking/cycling route through the woods.
Beautiful and quiet minus all the kids around. It’s a shame the hall isn’t open though.
