Nice park for a walk around the lake. Lots of dog walkers use the park. Nice cafe and kiosk by the lake,friendly and welcoming,plus good food and drinks. Good open areas to play ball games and a playground for the kids. Be aware that at weekends and bank holidays it is busy with local residents using the Park. As it is well used by the public. No issues with parking, some weekends there are local cricket games held there on the open spaces.  Playground: Good facilities for small and big kids here. There is a small park for toddlers with a fence around so they can't wander off. There is also a park for bigger kids further over from the toddler park. There is also a concrete slate park there that a lot of kids use with their skateboards and scooters and seem to have fun.  Restrooms: Only one by the cafe and kiosk.  Dog-friendliness: A lot of local residents use it to walk their dogs during the day. So it is popular with dog walkers. Plenty of bins to put your dog waste away.  Picnic area: There a couple of picnic benches ,but mainly people sit on the ground in the open areas and have picnics.

Nice enough park but the amount of litter around the place is disgusting. If bins are full, is it really too much trouble to use another bin, or even take your rubbish and used nappies home rather than leaving them on the floor for someone else to clear up?!  The park has a good play area for kids and a nice lake to walk around but wasted on people who don't care about it.

This park is a beautiful nature resort with plenty of outdoor space for children Fishing lakes and ponds A cafe for refreshments There are a few playground areas that could do with refurbishment. The only thing that spoils this park is, in my opinion, the rubbish bins always seem to be overflowing, and the council is not caring for the park as much as it's needed

A beautiful and large park in the popular area of Kensington. Suitable for all sports and ages. It has a beautiful lake with a cricket pitch and entrance options from many directions

Well we did not have the best of weather. .the two lakes are nice with loads of buck etc to feed . Well worth a walk round . There are benches to sit on and have a chill. There not that clean so we took a towel to sit on. There is a cafe in the park where there is  coffee and some snacks which has a small amount of cover in the rain.there is swing area for the kids and it's not hard to lark cars round there .looks like there is two crown bowling greens and of course there is  football pitchers. On the down side there is only about 4 or 5 tables at the cafe which we where gratefully to see open .No inside area to sit in.we had are small dog with us on a lead .  The main thing we did not like was there was a lot of other dog owners that did not have there dogs on a lead.they had not respect for any one that might be worried about being confronted by there dogs running over to them uninvited .We had nice pictures but this is are lasting memory  of the park .. these dogs ..  !!! Which is a shame .

Great part, the orphanage is a great location to ghost hunt

Newsham Park Weaver Tree is a historic and impressive landmark in Liverpool, UK. It's a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike, offering a peaceful and picturesque green space to relax and enjoy nature. There are lakes, playground cafes and a lot of space to walk your dogs on a weekend.  Playground: There is a small playground for kids, and lot of free spaces to play.  Restrooms: There is a cafe down near the lake with w/c.  Dog-friendliness: It is dog friendly.

Visited today as a little detour to going back to Sefton Park. Newsham Park looks lovely when you turn off the main road and pass the old derelict hospital. Parked up near the cafeteria and infront of the skatepark. Lovely big parkland that consisted of a skatepark, a big play area with swings and slides etc and certainly big enough for ball games. The first lake is a nice one, the water is clear and apart from the greenery in it you can see a lot in there. Some access is strangly blicked off but the you get a 'style' to climb over instead of a gate... Not good for the older generation to be honest. Walked on towards the 'big ' lake and it certainly is that. It has a fountain in it and a walkable bridge that splits it in 2. There is so much green algae in it and its a shame as this lake could be stunning. Walking to the far side of it you begin to realise you haven't found ANY benches that actually face the sun.... None of them!  Who is responsible for the sun ray check??? When you do find a embankment to sit on, the geese decide you are fair game . It's a nice, big, lovely park but not a big enough pull to visit again unfortunately. The big plus for this park is the assesibility from town, and a big play area. Perfect for families

I come here almost daily to walk my dogs.  I have got to know some of the other people who use the park.  There's a kiosk that sells hot drinks and snacks.   There are several play areas for children of different ages and outdoor gym equipment for people to use.

Good park with all facilities. Good parking space.. Tolilet near refreshment area. Kids play area, cycle path. Pond and water fountain, bike stunt area, football and cricket ground also. Huge park. We can do fishing also don't know about license .
