If you need a local pub to book for a function I recommend the crooked billet. I was actually there for a funeral wake today, there's plenty of room, the staff are friendly and helpful and they'll lay on a buffet if required for a price of course. There is on site parking although the car park is a bit on the small side.
Cracking pint of Guinness and really well managed under the new covid guidelines
