A very good selection of beers. Good service. The food was excellent the night we were there. The pub has some great seating with a nice bar at the front and a larger area with pool table at the back. From the outside it's a very impressive looking building just off the old part of town in Hull.
I lovely old pub that back in the day would have been near the docks in the old part of town. good selection of Lagar and Ales. It was busy so didn't really get chance to have a good look around. The food looked very nice. Near the museum quarter and close to a nice river walk so look forward to going again at a quieter time.
Haven't been in this pub for years. It used to be a regular haunt for meeting up pre-Spiders over 30 years ago. Popped in on Friday to give their 12% stout a try & will DEFINITELY be back. Gorgeous bar, stout to die for, great atmosphere, dog friendly & absolutely must try the food as everything on the unusual menu sounds mouthwatering. What a fab & friendly place!
Good choice of beers and ciders, big screens to watch sport, friendly staff and decent food. Only slight negative is I didn't realise the burgers would come a bit pink which slightly put me off, as I normally overcook everything! If I'd known, I would've requested mine well done. Loved the mixed chips though!

One of Hull's hidden gems on a main road but slightly out of the centre. It's interior is remarkable and the bar tiled to perfection. It oozes history. I had the 12% porter costly but worth every penny to the taste budsService: 5/5
