Doctors, phlebotomy nurses and Asthma nurse are fabulous. They all took the time to listen carefully and helped me. I felt re-assured, safe and well cared for by all the medical staff I have seen over the last few weeks. It’s about trust I guess and I can honestly say I trust the teams within this surgery. Thank you for helping me.
waited for my results, i had to call them to find out they already had them in and didn't act upon this to contact me and I was told my results over the phone which is not good. I am still at home suffering on a day to day basis and need some help but it seems to be very difficult to go forward with this place. nurses and doctors are lovely but I am always seeming to have issues with the receptionists either it be miss communication or rudeness.
They are not good for anything. They are always busy and you can't find an appointment even if you die. And when you manage to make an appointment, you are not given the correct diagnosis and the medication they give you is not good. My wife was misdiagnosed and followed treatment for 4 months without seeing any improvement in her health, then I went to another doctor and he told her to throw away everything she took for 4 months because it is wrong. Then she received another treatment that made her well in a week.
Rude, incompetent, uncaring doctors and receptionists. Unfit for purpose sums up this sham of a surgery. If I could have given zero stars then I would have. No care for the patient, zero people skills, snappy bad attitudes and they in my opinion are a disgrace to the health profession in every sense. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
I had a call at 13:21pm today to come to croft medical centre at Calder walk Sydenham from Dr J Dowes. When I got at the center with in 10 minutes, reception told me she had gone home at 12pm and didn't even bother to check Dr's room. I was showing them surgery number call on my phone but they still didn't want to know. Very disappointed
Edit: I have amended my rating from 1 to 3 as the last couple of contacts with them have been so much better. First, I was able to get an in person appointment on a Friday after calling at 3.30pm! In this appointment I got amazing support and advice and then the following week I was proactively called by reception to make a follow up appointment, which I didn't expect. If this had been my only contact with them I would rate my experience as five stars, I hope it's not a one off and that perhaps the management has been changed. ------- Just consistently the worst. Impossible to get an appointment, consistently poor service, disgraceful waiting times on calls, ineffective processes, forms that are referred to on the phone that don't exist, forms on the website that the the reception staff apparently don't use anymore, although sometimes they do... they have no idea, it's like they just want to make is as impossible as they can to get help. Have to rely on 111 and A&E most of the time which is unacceptable. The only reason we haven't switched is because the Bishops Tachbrook branch and dispensary is so good. I wish they would not associate with this centre.
What?! A 5 star review? Well, 5 stars for the medical and nursing staff, 0 stars for the ridiculous booking system. After being number 36 in the queue, I was eventually through to reception. They then tell me no more appointments that day. This happened again the next day. Eventually day3 I get through. I tell the receptionist the nature of my problem and a doctor calls me back an hour later and I get an appointment for two hours time. Brilliant! But the issue is, for anyone who works, like me, this 'on the day' booking system doesn't work. How can you book time off work for an appointment, when you don't know if you are going to get one? I was fortunate as I work.locally and could slip out for half an hour. But really, in this day and age the ability to book a few days ahead is vital for most working people. I rest my case!
Dr Caitlin imray has been instrumental in my recovery and amazing at checking in with me. Great care. Couldn't ask for more.
Very very poor, in these times I thought we are trying to protect the NHS. I rang this morning as I cut a finger at work the day before quite bad, it's not bad enough to go to A & E let alone the 4 hour wait that would entail but bad enough that it needs seeing to, probably just needs cleaning and dressing properly. I ring at 8.30am and to my surprise I get through straight away and am 1st in the queue, speak to the receptionist who said it won't be a Dr's appointment, yes, I replied, it will be a nurse's appointment she said, yes I replied, reiterating that it probably just needs cleaning and dressing properly. No nurses appointments today I'm told...... But I'm first in the queue?????? Can I book a nurse's appointment for tomorrow then please..... No, fully booked tomorrow...... So what do you recommend I ask...... Go to A and E she says.... For a cut finger that just needs dressing properly. Taking up valuable time in hospital. So I've currently got a plaster on it and will hope it won't get infected or get sepsis etc. What's the point in being registered with them if you can't get a simple appointment.
not even a star is worth it, horrible. After many months I was finally scheduled for a blood test. I went there the day I was scheduled, one of those ladies at the reception told me to take a seat and to wait for someone to call me,after 2hrs waiting i went back at them to ask how much more do i still have to wait ,they looked at me,start to laugh and told me that the nurse who needs to take my blood went home and I have to call again for another appointment in another day.HORRIBLE STAFF AT RECEPTION.
