For sometime I have dreaded having to go to the Crawley Down pharmacy when a certain young woman is working.  She never greets, smiles says please or thank you and has a face like she has swallowed a wasp.  I have just had the most distressing experience with this woman and cannot believe the way she spoke to me.  The pharmacist obviously doesn’t control her he just looked scared to get involved.  As she does not use customary pleasantries I just ask for what I want and don’t use them either - this is something very alien to me, as a shopkeepers daughter I was taught that to be polite was paramount.  As I departed the store she facetiously had the nerve to say “you’re welcome” under her breath.  I wasn’t going to take this rudeness so when I returned and took her to task on her customer service skills I was treated to the most appalling diatribe.  I cannot believe that this woman can talk to customers in such a manner.  How on earth does she get away with this?  Why is she not managed? I have used the pharmacy since it opened and always was one of the greatest defenders against criticism.  I never want to enter that store again.  I will be contacting the owning company but as they are a large concern I doubt whether they will be bothered about such a minion member of staff.  Such a shame that this woman disgraces our lovely village with her disgraceful behaviour

I’m so confused about the reviews below, I’ve always had nothing a positive experience since using this pharmacy! They are polite, friendly and always helpful

This used to be a very good pharmacy but since it was taken over a few years ago it’s gone from bad to worse. They open late, close early, randomly shut or claim they are short staffed, lose your prescription and just seem to lack any level of customer service. Today was the last straw and I have moved my collection point elsewhere. Lost yet another prescription Doctors surgery confirmed it went over 3 days ago. Honestly this place is beyond useless!

This is the absolute worse service I have ever had in my entire life! I had to call ahead as I knew they would be difficult with me and they out an out lied to my face. They said the the person on the phone doesn’t know what she is doing and what she says can’t be taken into account. The new chemist thinks she has way too power and has seems to have delusions of grandeur think she must have been a former chief of police. It’s infectious because it rubs off on the staff on the till. I would literally walk on hot coals bare footed to not use this chemist again!

Please do not use this pharmacy. They are so unprofessional, unhelpful and spoke to myself and mother in an awful manor. They hung up on myself 3 times! Very upsetting on how they were so flippant regarding my 14 month old health and she advised she didn’t care if I came in with covid! Which I then replied,  well I do care and about affecting others, especially as how covid has made my daughter so unwell. Which is why my mother wanted to help out, to stop the spread of the virus to the vulnerable. They really do care about others and how they speak to others.

Don't go here! Very slow service, very rude. I witnessed elderly people who have loved in the village for over 40 years treated very badly while waiting weeks for important medications. I have never been in such a disorganised place!

Prescription sent over from G.P on 11/1/21, went down on 15/1/21 to be told they didn't have it. Just been down again and still saying they haven't got it. This seems to be happening more and more frequently. Now been without my medication for nearly two weeks. Tried phoning them at 12.50 and the phone just rang and rang, so now will be without until next week. Not sure what is happening there, used to be good service.

Rubbish Service and going down hill fast The Chemist was GREAT, but since it  has been taken over the serivice is terrible my order has been wrong, missing items 4 times not ready on time after order had been with them for 7 days.  had someone elses order given to me, I use because it is Local no other reason

So unhelpful, fax machine not working so couldn’t receive my urgent prescription. No empathy what so ever and tried to send me in pain to chemist in Crawley rather than taking the time to see that the one in Sainsbury’s in EG  was open and their fax machine works!

Always really helpful and friendly.
