The gallery is located at the grand heritage building called The Somerset House which is worth seeing on itself. The gallery inside though not big but the interiors have been well maintained. On top, there’re quite many wonderful modern & antique paintings being displayed.
Worth a visit due to the absolute quality of the contents! Careful what is going on as they often seem to be lending pictures for other museum's benefits. Pleasant because their are no crowds normally as entrance is not free!
Great gallery but unfortunately, the building is closed for refurbishment until 2021, and the paintings have all gone on holiday.

An amazing gallery with some of the best Impressionist/Post-Impressionist work in the UK. Not expensive and never crowded so always a good place to go if you don't want the hustle and bustle of the National and Portrait nearby.
The main courtyard is large and impressive. Kids love to play in the water-spouts in hot weather; there's an ice-rink in winter, and events through the year, such as London Fashion week, and a season of open-air movies in summer. I saw a preview of _Volver_ there, and Penelope Cruz showed up!
A true jewel hoping the restoration will maintain its authenticity
There very very few people but a lot of interesting paintings.
Great collection of Rubens' works.
