Fantastic apartment. Loved it only criticism is that the wardrobe was cheap looking and kind of spoiled it. However this is a personal opinion and otherwise everything was brilliant including the breakfast items that were left for us

My wife and I stayed here as part of a three-week tour of Britain, but this was by far the most remarkable hotel of them all. The owner had cleverly converted a magnificent old courthouse into a superb and unique place to stay. The suite we stayed in was extraordinary. The comfortable king-size bed (the larger, US-style king) had a large flat-screen TV at its foot; however, the TV could be swung around so that it could easily be viewed from any angle in the room, as could the mirror mounted behind the TV. The room included a small dining area, a small living room area, and ample wardrobe space for visitors planning to stay for a while. There was even a kitchenette with a microwave, a stocked fridge, an induction hob/stove, and a quiet dishwasher to wash the included cutlery, plates, bowls and glasses. The owner explained the stocked kitchen was in lieu of offering dining facilities, which was a smart decision given Linlithgow's excellent eating places. The suite had a fine view of the town through huge windows, but the windows had shades to pull down to block the light, and the original shutters could also be closed if desired, thus blocking out the noise of Linlithgow. Clever, remote-controlled LED lighting had been hidden in the ceiling coving to help set the mood. The suite was capped off with a gorgeous, modern bathroom. It had a wet-floor shower with a superb shower head and separate body head, heated towel rail and even a heated floor. The owner was warm and friendly. After greeting us, he explained how the card-entry system worked and showed us the workings of our suite. He can feel justifiably proud of the wonderful hotel he has created, and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone (particularly couples) who may be passing through the beautiful town of Linlithgow.
