We both find the staff here are helpful and friendly. Doctors are efficient and listen well. If you can take advantage of short notice appointments then seeing a doctor here is fairly easy.

Well it used to be OK but they don't have enough permanent doctors why I don't know getting appointments is usually 2 weeks I recently had a problem with a repeat prescription which nearly took a week for them to sort out, a doctor altered the prescription which meant me ringing them only for another doctor to get it wrong so I got a health official involved and then they admitted it was there mistake and one receptionist told me that I had a medicine review that in my opinion was an excuse I was never informed or attended a review I did not even get an apology the place is In need of some proper management and a good look at how to run a surgery and how to treat their patients with respect and learn how to apologise all this has been witnessed by the pharmacy and other health officials and care staff how it took nearly a week to sort out a simple repeat prescription.

Now they have more Dr's it is easier to see a Dr now. I have found the staff friendly and helpful.

Had an appointment today at 2pm at this clinic, my son rang at 7.30am this morning saying my grandson is poorly could I go and look after him which of course you do, so had to cancel the appointment but wanted to rearrange it. Rang this morning at 8am to do so, only to be told I have to pay a cancellation fee of £20, while I understand why, this is just one of the those things that happen spoke to the manager Tony who said what ever the circumstances I must give 24 hours notice ( even if I got rushed into hospital). Feel they are being unfair as I only wanted rearrange the appointment not cancel altogether, which I have done now, will not be going back and I advise anyone else who is thinking of going to read the terms carefully as they don't give way no matter what the circumstances.

Both I, and my late wife, have seen various Doctors over the past 40 years at the Cottingham Medical Centre. I have never felt rushed by any of them. I've found them all ready to listen. One difficulty is making appointments - something which I understand from friends is a problem at all doctors surgeries! My only criticism is of one member of the office staff, who does get very uptight at times. Although I've not had to use one myself, I gather from friends that the nhs walk in centres are very good if you need to see a doctor and cannot get an appointment with your own doctor.
