Everything a country pub should be. Whereas most pubs focus on either the locals, or cater to expensive gastro tastes, the Cottage is so much more. With events on most weekends, it has become a staple of the surrounding area. My personal favourite is the bonfire night, which is always spectacular, and well worth the entry fee. The food is decent enough, there's a good variety and it's all fairly priced. The ambience inside is very pleasant as well, particularly in winter with the roaring fireplace. Well worth a visit.
