We are a 138 bedroomed Dudley hotel which overlooks the picturesque canal marina. Just a short stroll away is the Westfield Merry Hill Shopping Centre. We visited for Christmas dinner with Santa as a large family, and it was a magical experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious and so much choice!, and the restaurant's environment was beautifully festive and welcoming.nnThe staff were incredible—extremely accommodating and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had an enjoyable time. They went above and beyond, making everything feel effortless despite our big group.nnSanta himself was wonderful, taking the time to engage with our young and very excited! children, creating memories they’ll cherish for years to come.nnA big thank you to the catering and hospitality team for making this such a special occasion. We can’t wait to return!
Lovely friendly staff and a clean hotel!nnThe staff were very professional and helpful, definitely the best part of the hotel.nnI loved the breakfast, I sat by the window watching the world go by.nnThe hotel is definitely a bit dated, but it's clearly been looked after as most of it was clean.nnMy only criticism was that the bathtub looked dirty. However, on inspection, I don't think it was. I think it's just really old, so the metal has rusted different colours, making it look dirty.nnThe rooms, however, were really dark, and my room, the executive suit, was very warm. I had to sleep with windows open and ac on, and it was only 10 degrees outside.nnThe food was brilliant lots of choices at breakfast.
Staff here were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms met with expectations although on closer inspection they were a little tired. The bed was comfortable and clean with decent quality bedding so we slept well and would definitely return.
Generally all good, but there are some minor issues.nOur roomheating was poor, the radiator was certainly cool. Reported this to reception, answer, nobody else has mentioned this, will check the boiler nothing else was mentioned to us during the rest of our stay.nStaff had a job keeping up with the food during breakfast, most were in a small group chatting for a period of time, only one person was attending the breakfast bar.nBetter staff training and a firmer management style would cure this.nHowever, the rest of the experience was OK.
Stayed here for one night while working in the area, my go to is a Premier inn and I’d been staying in one all week however this was cheaper than the nearest when booked through Booking.com and it didn’t disappoint.nnI booked a club room which was huge with a fridge and complimentary water and snacks mars bar, also had all the usual in these type of hotels safe, iron and board, hairdryer etc.nnPlenty of desk space for me to work at with plenty of lights.nnA huge comfy bed plenty of lovely pillows, the best nights sleep all week, acoustics were fantastic couldn’t hear a thing.nnDonna on the desk was a little star very helpful, my room was prepared by Sam who had done an exceptional job it was immaculate and very welcoming.nnBreakfast included in my room rate was fantastic huge selection and all piping hot.nnWill definitely stay again.
