Nice meals, great meal deals.nLovely breakfast, helpful staff.nOnly real downside was room smelt very doggy, even with the window open for both days still smelt the same, alsi had fog hair on the bedding.nLocation is great, same carpark as black country museum and dudley zoo.nThough had heavy running feet above us until 12pm and started again at 6am.
As soon as we got in it was like a furnace. Air conditioning was completely broken for downstairs and couldn't seem to get it to work upstairs. On first entry the thing that caught our eye was the amount of hairs on the floor. Not to mention the dirt and disgust under the beds. Had to go to reception a lot for basic needs and wasn't even given a remote for the TV and fan had to be given from another room due to the ac.nRips were also are problem in the sheets like big holes that shown wear from them. However the staff and service was brilliant. Very lovely and caring. Breakfast was great with an exceptional buffet and eV charging in the car park.
Firstly I marked this Travelodge overall 4 stars the only reason was that the room we where in didn’t have air conditioningnand we were experiencing a heatwave but we did have a fan in the room which did help I would have marked it 4.5 stars but didn’t give me the option.nnBut that’s the only negative other than that absolutely fantastic ,Staff are excellent friendly and helpful.nRoom was very good.nBed was super comfortable.nSheets spotless as with all the other items.nFree parking onsite.nAs for location as we were going to the 1940s weekend at the Black Country museum it’s literally next door just a very short stroll away.nWill definitely be coming back to this Hotel and also visiting the Black Country Museum again.nHighly recommended
Rooms are basic but nice, there's everything you need, we stayed on a Sunday night for £30, staff were very friendly, its location couldn't have been any better for us. We were going to the black country museum on the Sunday, its literally a couple of minutes away and we were going to dudley Castle and zoo on the Monday, its literally next door. There's also a complex over the road so we went to the cinema and for food on the Sunday night. Definitely be back
Room would have got more but we had to change room as the guy on the desk couldn't unblock the sink. He dealt with it quickly though.nnThings took a bad turn in the evening.nnZero checks are done on disabled parking. I believe I was the only car there displaying a blue badge.nnThey only have a manager, they told me, from 7am until 3pm meaning any and all issues have to wait until then as the remaining two staff can only do basics which they seemed to do particularly badly.nnPlenty of sockets including USB A and C. For some reason, of having a bath there is no soap the head end so I presume they expect users to get up to get it. Not very relaxing that.nnCustomers encouraged to order via a QR link which, in my case didn't send the drinks order to the bar they tell me. Good service was appalling.
