Posting on behalf of my partner. Her psychiatrist doesn't listen to her and doesn't seem to care in the appointments. Every single appointment she hasincluding medication reviews gets cancelled or rescheduled for months later. Wouldn't mind if it was for a good reason but people are on the verge of killing themselves and we have been told its cancelled for the psychiatrists annual leave? What a joke wouldn't trust them to look after or support anyone
I honestly feel so let down by the service I have received since it has moved from Orphan Drive. I really think the Government need to address the funding issues, access to services, crisis team, service user input and I have waited 3 years for a support worker, and I have been under this team for 16 years. Its not good enough. I have been really in crisis lately, 5 days for someone to call me back, and given medication, then was supposed to call me back 7 to 14 days later , I got a letter saying someone would call me 22 December 2021. I litrally could be dead without my son. Absolute negligence. . Been waiting for PALS for 3 months.
Recently have new Psychiatrist who replaced Dr Banham...I find this new Psychiatrist to be more personable, compassionate and polite. I found Dr Banham a little...difficult. The new Psychiatrist does not get offended or defensive when I offer my opinion about preferable treatments. He does not jump to conclusions. He keeps an open mind and seems to appreciate and respect my personal knowledge has come from reliable medical sources...BNF, NHS website, NICE, published peer reviewed medical literature...etc. I am educated with a lot of insight into my condition and studied as a mental health nurse and he seems to respect this I hope he continues to acknowledge and appreciate patients who are able to contribute well informed suggestions and who prefer to take an active role in their ongoing treatment
Disgraceful. Missed a phone call the day after trying to hang myself and heard nothing since. Probably be dead before my birthday in 2 days. Sickening
I would give a better rating when I feel I'm being listened to by the doctors who say are there to help and not belittle you
JUST HOPE THAT NICOLA KEEPS HER WORD. I MERELY EXIST AT PRESENT.
