A small cafe at the entrance to the botanical garden. They serve a selection of cakes and sandwiches, as well as hot and cold drinks. We ordered coffee with syrups and it was simple but nice! The cakes are between £3-5, and drinks also a few £ each. What impressed me was the attention to detail in the bathrooms: freely available sanitary products in both ! female and male bathrooms. It was such a positive surprise. Overall a nice stop before or after the botanical garden
Nice cafe with limited seating. They have a small selection of sandwiches and cakes with hot drinks available. Everything looked nice and clean. The log burner in the seating area was a nice touch on a cold November morning.
Food nice enough but please provide some cutlery suitable to actually eat it. A flat wooden teaspoon is not suitable for soup!Food: 4/5
We dropped the kids off at the leisure centre and thought the cafe here would be fine and handy, so tried driving towards it to find that to get access we had to drive away, go on a big detour round the back, then come in from the other side. Still, once we did that at least we got parked close to the door. As it was not too far to the actual gardens I took my rolator but we went to the cafe first. We found a table near the door though the seats were for me uncomfortable. They are all basic hardwood chairs. Nobody seems to think that elderly or disabled people might need something just a little more comfortable these days. We got our order which was fine and we enjoyed that then decided to view the gardens but before leaving, I needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately it was undersized and I had a devil of a job getting turned and seated, though I did manage eventually. OK, I was slightly squint, so decided to try and lift myself a touch with the railings and get straightened. I then got an almighty shock as water squirted all over my rear end. I was still shaking half an hour later! Still I managed to get sorted and cleaned up and my wife and I went and enjoyed the botanic gardens, which, by the way, we highly recommend. The cafe is fine enough for a cuppa, and the service and produce is decent. When we are back in Inverness we will probably go there again, but I will look somewhere else for a toilet.
Lovely space just in the botanic gardens, the café was refurbished recently and looks pleasant. We enjoyed the food. Haggis sandwich was good, homemade soup and the best cheese scone I ever had so far. But the best was actually the lovely Cheryl who served us with a big smile and cheerful attitude at all time.
Not only did they let us in after they were done serving for the day but even told us to stay for dessert rather than taking it home with us! I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. I had the chicken blt & lemon pavlova.....delicious!!!
Really poor today, the spicey parsnip soup wasn't spicy and tasted of washing up liquid and was ridiculously thick, so much so I could stand the spoon up vertically in the middle of the bowl and it stood still. The panini was of below average taste and not presented with any side salad. Over priced and a total waste of money, The highland council need to address these issues before it gets any worse.
Breakfast rolls in the morning, soup with bread, pancakes or scone at lunchtime, tea/ coffee and cake whenever.Food: 3/5
Good atmosphere. However basic food hygiene not being observed guys. At least cover the cakes.Provide tongs for service of the above. Soup was tasteless. It's the little things that matter!! You can dress it up with China and that artisan thing but don't like other people's fingers onsomething Im about eat.
Wasn't impressed. Waited ages to be seated. Then another very long wait for my order to be taken. Tea and plain scone. It looked nice but so crumbly and dry left 3/4s of it.
