Wow this was a very nice stay! The receptionists are very nice, all the staff treat the guests very good. The beds were comfortable. The pressure in the shower was not the best. I would recommend looking into that. The dinner at the restaurant was awesome, food was very good. Although for breakfast, the buffet didn’t have much of a choice when you don’t get there early. I strongly suggest ordering the waffles or pay extra to get something fresh. Overall, great experience.
The location is great. The ambience and the vibes of the hotel is so rustic. It feels just like being in a home. Such a lovely decoration. The beds were comfortable. The food was nice. You have to be early get everything in buffet as it finishes soon. The staff was friendly and available for our requests.Rooms: 5/5
Really neat experience! This was the last hotel we stayed at during our visit to Ireland. By far the best experience!! Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and caring. We ate at one of the on-site restaurants I can’t remember the name it was lovely! Our food was delicious and the drinks were absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back! Price point was perfect.
Stunning hotel just back from a 2 night stay. We have been several times. The location is brilliant. Friendly staff, spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated. Only hotel ive ever been that the bar has a great atmosphere. We dined in the bar both nights. Very nice menu for both food & drinks/cocktails. Will be back again, one of our favourite hotels.
This hotel was lovely! We stayed for two nights and they were just starting to decorate for the holidays. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the rooms were in great condition and clean. Their restaurant has very limited space and there's no spa, but the location is lovely as it's in a residential area. This is a great place to be if you plan to take taxis into Dublin.
Great venue, food is tasty, rooms are comfortable. It’s very fancy. All but one of the staff are fantastic. The one staff member that works at reception some days was a bit rude and had an attitude when we asked about different things.
I can not recommend this place more. Seriously, one of the best things we have ever done. The staff, each and every single person we had contact with, was wonderful and helpful and personable. The food at breakfast and at dinner was never a disappointment. We loved the hotel, with its mixture of modern and ancient. The art, in itself, was worth the visit. Rooms: The rooms were very clean and the mattresses were comfortable. The showers were very nice, with a removable handheld spray. Nearby activities: We took a cab into and back from Dublin. It was worth the splurge as my mother was with us and has mobility issues. Twenty min +/- depending on traffic, of course. Safety: This area is extremely safe for walkers. And a stroller down to the waterfront is definitely worth it. Just remember it is uphill on the way back. Walkability: As I stated, this area is very walkable with nearby restaurants and pubs, grocery, etc. Food & drinks: The food and the drinks were all spot on. We had 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners at the hotel. We were not dissatisfied at all. Noteworthy details: You must walk around the hotel and, if possible, down to the waterfront. The staff were so helpful with everything, getting Cabs, suggestions, everything! And, just a reminder, yes, some people don't already know to do this, they are not allowed to ask for tips, so please add extra to food/drink checks or just leave cash. They are worth it.
Stayed here Saturday 18th of February. impressive walk up to hotel and nice lobby. bar was busy and table didn’t seemed to be cleaned properly seemed sticky. My wife and I booked a room for 199 euro. Breakfast not included 19.50 extra per person. The room we got had a door to the adjoining room so we could hear everything from the next door room. There was an issue with the noise at night from the fans both inside and outside the room. The bathroom fan when we came in at midnight was making a horrendous noise, sounded like a hurricane. Rang reception at 1 am to get help. They seemed to able to stop the noise by going to some service room. However there was quite a loud noise outside the room in this area of the hotel like another fan. Found it difficult to sleep and finally got to sleep at 4 am. Breakfast was busy but no complaints about the food albeit 20 euro seems a bit expensive. Wouldn’t stay here again due to the two issues with the room the lack of privacy and the noise. When I told the reception when checking out, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked for the night and that was the reason we got the room.
Great hotel with a fantastic Christmas atmosphere. Staff are very professional and incredibly friendly. Only complaint would be the choice of wine, it has always been poor & unfortunately the white I chose tonight was as well. Definitely go but don't drink the wine
Friendly welcoming service. A bit off the main spot of Dublin by in 12-15 minutes any important place in Dublin can be reached by taxi. Therefore in a nice and calm area. Real old times castle, not something made up. I have been here several times and will come back again next year. Already booked. Sunday noon carvery was nice as well. Clean rooms ,some newly renovated some still to be updated. Overall a place with staying even at a bit higher price.
