Super busy but quiet site. Nice friendly management with a sense of humour. No hot water or showers but great facilities nearby in the village.
Spacious pitches, friendly owner, good dog walking fields, close to village centre, with take always, shops and pub
I have to give this a four star. The site is very lovely and pitches very large. Most with there own privacy of shrubs all around. We stayed there for 3 days and it was beautiful. The only negatives would be that there are only two toilets with only cold water, very basic and no showers. So if you stay you need to make certain that you have your own washing facilities, Colin and Lyne are very nice and pretty laid back around rules and long as you don't abuse it. The pitches are all on grass, but they do leave planks about if your concerned about your wheels sinking.
A beautiful caravan/camping site quite with plenty of space for all your camping needs. Cold water and toilets but no showers but happy with that back to basics. The grounds are extensive with well established trees, hedges and many electric points. The ground is flat and well maintained. Dog allowed but must be kept on a lead, sadly this not the case with two separate campers causing issues with there dogs going for each other. Another gent who had his dog on a lead walking with his small grand son had a job to keep the other dog away from them with the owner not even saying sorry leaving their dog roaming. We plan to use this site regularly but not if dogs are allowed to roam and bother us while eating our food. The site is ran by a friendly couple who can't be more helpful, with an area to borrow books, local leaflets, Chinese and chippy menues. The site is clean beautiful, did I say that hehehehehehe. Apart from roaming dogs that lost a star sadly we love it and will be back. A walking distance to the pub, Chinese, chippy and a co op. What more can you ask for.
Colin is a lovely man who looks after the place .he let us leave our van there as we were returning the following week and he kept an eye on it for us.very nice site with the central location that makes it easy to get anout that lovely part of suffolk.thanks colin for making us feel very welcome .
It is a hidden gem so I'm keeping it a secret!! Oh well my secret's out! Beautifully kept, spacious pitches, lovely views and the ever watchful Collin keeping his eye on the goings on. Hardy a dog in sight bonus!! and those there were well behaved kids too. A lovely part of Suffolk and a treat after a busy weekend near Brighton. Can't recommend this little site but an sure things would be a little different if a rally was going on. Keep up the good work. Thanks Ruth and Russx.
An excellent little site on the edge of the village. Lovely warm welcome, attentive owner and nice flat, spacious pitches. Thank you.
This is a 'fairly reasonable priced caravan and campervan storage yard. It has easy access with the added ease of mind with 24 hours cctv coverage. It's location within the picturesque village of Glemsford but away from the passing eye adds to it's appealing nature. The fees may not be the cheapest in the area however it has the facilities to empty your elsan disposal and fill up your water tanks too. Highly recommended
I'm absolutely disgusted with the owners of this site, charging for my daughter to pop my medication to me which I had forgot, plus a bit of shopping the next day as I wasn't feeling too good, she was with me for know more than 2 hours in total, I totally understand if she was staying the night but this is outrageous. The toilet is in an old barn, the toilet waste looks as though it's been there since the 70s, electric hook up you can't see as it's literally in the hedge. The owner is watching you continuesley. Definitely wouldn't recommend this site.
Stayed here recently for 2 nights. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. We were not told or shown where we could fill up the fresh water tank or indeed where we could empty the grey water tank. I looked around and couldn’t find anywhere to do so. There is an unheated toilet on site but no showers. The grass on and around the pitches was rather long meaning every time I took my dog for a walk I had sopping wet shoes and socks! Given the lack of facilities, the very remote location of the site and the fact you literally have to dig through bushes to get to the electric hook up points I feel that £17.50 per night is somewhat overpriced when compared to other, more conveniently located sites with full shower, dishwashing facilities etc that are cheaper. Not sure I’ll return to this site any time soon.
