I popped in for a quick pint. I hadn't been in for many years. All changed, mod cons etc. Bar staff were great, very courteous and helpful. Would recommend this Pub.
Well run spacious pub retaining some of its between the wars era character. Recently sensitively redecorated with a pleasant outdoor seating area at the front. Holt's Bitter regular real ale plus a seasonal Holt's beer sometimes. A good place for sports TV though this does not dominate.
Great venue for live music. Excellent beers
Got sports on all day every day they have a sports lounge big screen as well as tv's they have an up stairs for functions Birthdays and weddings. This was my GFriends uncles wedding had a Dj and food layed on, it's a big pub so plenty of room for a do.

Only stopped off for a couple after work, and the first time I've been here for over 10 years, it definitely has a different atmosphere than I remember. Apprehensive at first based on my previous experience, I was greeted by friendly, smiling staff, a well poured pint and a mellow, welcoming vibe. Quality and range are typical of a decent Holts pub, with ample space both indoors, and to the front and rear of the pub outside; definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Been my local for years, always full of good people, bar staff are friendly too and always a good atmosphere. Friendly pub overall, has a pool table, sometimes karaoke nights and entertainment. Reasonably priced too
Great atmosphere and excellent customer service
I came for a quiet pint with my Dad a couple of weeks back who can hardly walk and this arrived in the post today needless to say I won't be visiting here again
