Claye Chef

Its the most pathetic place i have ever visit. Firstly it looks absolutely shady with pink curtains and horrible ambience. The minimum order has to be £6.95. The waiter served us with 2 trays of chutney which we realised later that it was charged separately. The vegetable food was horrible and even on Saturday evening only 2 tables were occupied. My husband asked for few things like onion salad,coke and lemon and in this the waiter started making faces. When the bill arrived the charge of coke was different to the one that on menu card and when asked the waiter said its shot charge and they gave us full glass however, there is nothing mentioned on the menu card nor anyone told us. The waiter was extremely rude and said he should be eating at home and we were not welcome there anymore. I have never seen any restaurant treating customer so badly. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Thank you

The food was so amazing I Bursted out in tears in the middle of the restraunt as I sunk my teeth into a onion bhaji. I then got up and went over to the waiter and began to grab his ankle begging him for the secret recipe. He then roundhouse kicked me out the door and shouted you shall never know the secret to my special sauce. 10/10 would visit again.

I phoned to place an order & they said they would phone back,20 mins later they rang took order said 45 mins turned up an hour later I unpacked the order some of it was missing rang them & the number that I rang on an hour ago was disconnected. All other numbers were not answered, the food also did not smell right the rice also did not look right so I drove up to the claye chef & it was shut down no sign of life this was 7 p m. so no idea where the food is being prepared but stay away at all costs.

Fantastic food, friendly staff, proper wheelchair accessible toilet. Excellent.

Bad experience with this restaurant. They need to improve the quality of the service.

Don't waste your money and time visiting this restaurant.
