Clarks is my favorite shoe brand so I’ll start from that. The staff in the Edinburgh store is friendly and helped me figure out my size and form. They had a wide variety of shoes for me to try on and decide. I ended up ordering the shoes I wanted and they are very good. Prices were also good and I would often notice many items were on discount. I had to give 4 stars as I believe the store needs more staff, especially during busy periods.

Starting from the beginning. Last Sunday I went in asking for a comfy pair of shoes. I cleared the fact I never bought anything from Clark’s and I needed help. It was pretty busy, so the girl, showed me the best seller they had. Asked her to try different sized, she brought me them and left me. Had to go to look for her. I clearly asked her that if once tried them, I didn’t find them comfy I could bring them back for a refund. She said of course just make sure you have got your receipt . Once paying I asked her again for confirmation, she said yes again, also told me “I’ll send you and email with the receipt so you are sure you don’t lose it”. Then I obviously used the shoes which weren’t what the seller promised me, absolutely painful and I could not use them for more than 2 h. Went back yesterday as I didn’t have time before. Bumped into the manager Aimee straight away. She said as they were worn I could not get a refund. I was trying to speak and she would not let me. ABSOLUTELY RUDE. Tried to speak and Aimee told me, again, that she is not getting back the shoes as she can’t s sell them back. Clearly told her what the sale assistant ( not so helpful ) told me. Aimee completely ignored what I was saying, rolling her eyes. Again I told her I was not happy with the shoes, she went and took a tag with the shot policy. I asked her why nonone told me once I was buying them, and why was i lied to when I asked the girl pretending to serve me if I could bring them back once tried them At work. Again she would not listen to me. She eventually offered me a voucher, which I don’t want as I ordered a new pair of shoes and since I AM NOT GOING BACK TO CLARKS FOR THEIR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I asked SEVERAL TIMES if I could speak with someone else, Aimee said “I am the manager”. Asked her for her manager, head office, or someone she keep saying “there is no once you can’t speak with”. Asked again, she refused to give me a details / contact. She gave me a piece of paper wirh Clark’s website??? For? Left he shop called customers care. In not even 3 minutes the girl I was speaking with on the phone agreed with me. She said I should have got my refund when thin shoes where worn(obviously). She agreed she didn’t understand princess streets Clark’s manager’s behaviour. She gave me a reference number and told me to go back to the shop with with and the shoes to get my refund. Really hope I can see the manager, Aimee, again. Aimee stated that she’s been working in retail for 10 years. Well then you’re not doing the right job. I been doing the same work for much less time and I have NEVER EVER made a customer unhappy as she did with me!!!!

A pleasant experience. Called in twice, once to look, and was treated very politely, returned to purchase and was made to feel really looked after. Thank you for the good service.

Great shoes, on the pricier side but worth it. However the shoes arent as good as they used to be as they dont last as lomg now and the design changes to the Clark Waves dolly shoes for example are disappointing.

Went in to complain about the premature ware of a pair of shoe I bought in July this year and the staff was understanding and helpful even though I did not have the paper receipts anymore. I got the full amount towards the exchange for a new pair. Came out 15min after with brand new leather shoes wish I hope won't bring me back in anytime soon. Great service from the staff
