Just spent a lovely weekend at this Great site. Super location for Aldeburgh beach, town and lovely walks. Nice spacious pitch, plenty of hedges giving privacy, nice and flat. Only downside no shower or toilet block, which we knew when booking. Definitely visit again in summer.
One of the best located touring sites on the East Coast,wonderful walks,beach just a short stroll away and the lovely attractions of Aldeburgh within easy reach. Even better now the facilities are closed..... Nice and quiet and much easier to find an ideal pitch,more than happy to pay these prices for a such a nice experience.
Lovely location a few minutes from the beach and around 15-20 mins walk from town. Nice flat pitch with hook up and water tap. However - older reviews mention the spotless showers and loo block. This was closed during shutdown like most sites did but the management have decided not to re-open them. Nice saving for the Park owners. Also some of us will definitely struggle with the chemical waste disposal at ground level. And no drive over for grey waste! £41 per night. Give the impression that for them it’s all about the statics and not interested in touring. Good thing Europe’s open again!
Well maintained holiday park on outskirts of Aldeburgh. Variety of accommodation from pitches for mobile caravans, static caravans and lodges. Toilet/Shower block on site. So well maintained there was the sound of lawn mowers and hedge trimmers from 8am on a Friday morning.
Lovely park in Aldeburgh, very near the sea and local attractions and shops. A very relaxing place to stay. We stayed in Marshwiggle Lodge, no 8, Marsh View Lodges. Lovely lodge with a hot tub.
Fab location but expensive. Toilet block always closed, which should be reflected in the price but never is. 30 seconds from Aldeburgh sea front. Lovely walk from here to Thorpeness where there are is a fab cafe.
Lovely site, great location 2 minute walk to beach. However £41 per night without any facilities is a unreasonable, we were on superior pitch which was very large and had water and grey waste on pitch There is a toilet snd shower block but closed for 2022 season using covid as the reason. Reception only open 10-4pm, we didn’t see anyone except very briefly on arrival.
this is a lovely site well placed right next to the sea front & beach and for aldburgh walking distance with lovely pubs & restaurants and great surrounding area. It was virtualy empty when we were there - only half a dozen vans - when other sites in the area are fully booked for months. The reason i suspect is that their toilets & showers are not open,the excuse given is "covid" but for goodness sake, even the publc toilets in town are all open!! maybe it's just that you dont want to pay staff to clean them? other sites facilities are all open now so this is not a valiad excuse - especially when they charge £40 a night. shame as it's a great site in all other aspects.
Nice location a few minutes from the beach and 15 minute walk into Aldeburgh. The site itself is clean but very overpriced for a site that has no facilities whatsoever:
If this site was run properly it would merit a higher score. No toilets or showers available "due to covid"! This is despite the fact that every other site we visited were operating their facilities as normal. No reduction in price for this. The pitches are all in need of levelling and some serious TLC. The site itself is in a lovely location. A short walk along the promenade into Aldeburgh or a slightly longer walk in the opposite direction to Thorpeness. It seems the owners want to get rid of the touring site and replace it with holiday lodges. Making it less attractive to tourers, mean fewer will book which gives them more reasons to persuade the planners to grant permission. Shame.
