Visited friends staying here and was surprised by the wonderful seclusion the site offered. It’s walkable to the town and also on the harbour where there is a great pub. Facilities are new and great.Location: 4/5
Campervan : Good site with all the facilities you'd expect and a short walk to Southwold or over the ferry to Walberswick. We were there in April so quite quiet but imagine it's heaving in summer! Site is part of a large one with lots of statics and it's a little run-down despite some new loos / showers. Not a big problem though it had everything we needed.
The main plus of this site is that it's within easy walking distance of Southwold, which you can see from the site in the distance. It's not the cheapest considering the facilities on offer, which are adequate. A new wetroom block should have added value but the shower curtains are too small for larger people to fit they stuck to me every time I showered and the sinks are tiny. No shelf to put your shaving gear etc on. Not the sites fault, but the screws aren't stainless so they're already starting to rust and leave brown steaks down the walls which soon will become unsightly. The doors are closed all the time meaning if your in a cubicle expect lots of door handle shaking. The roads are fine dark gravel which gets carried into the blocks and litter the floor. But the cleaners were in evidence early every morning, though they appeared when everyone was using the facilities! The roads need attention, they're on the bumpy side with ruts. Caravan bays OK with close by power hook ups. Lighting at night not good, a trip to the facilities in the dark I'd take a torch. No aerial hook up but the TV signal was good. Would I go again? Yes, but only because of the proximity to Southwold. Nearby activities: Brewery tours; Southwold pier is a must with its automatons; Good beach; Lighthouse Walkability: Easy walk into Southwold on roadside path. Road not busy as it's a dead end. Food & drinks: Restaurants in Southwold - book in advance as they get very busy, else it's a DIY job.
Campsite with largely privately owned static caravans. Does have areas for vans, campers and tents. About 5 mins drive outside Southwold town centre, shops etc.Location: 5/5
Site is well situated for the beach and harbour, touring pitches are on the expensive side and in need of some attention. Some pitches were very boggy after heavy rain a couple of days before because of poor drainage. Facilities were clean and well serviced, overall not amazing but adequate, would return.Service: 3/5

Thank you for letting us stay with our unusual set up! Couldn’t have been more accommodating and very helpful. Good facilities and perfect locations within walking distance to the beech, southwold centre and a lovely walk along the harbour. Only wish we could have stayed longer to explore more! Walkability: Within walking distance to almost everywhere near by. Great place to camp if you are exploring by foot. Food & drinks: The food at the sail loft was stunning!
Nice location but very dull for children, there is crabbing every day which is very good, but wet weather will kill everyone. Food & drinks: Fish and chips every day only.

Lovely campsite in a beautiful setting but expensive.
