Lovely place for a walk. There are paths that take you towards Sale Water Park, Chorlton Water Park and so on. Brilliant for dog walkers and there are playing fields for football or just to relax. Beautiful scenery, especially near the River Mersey. Free Parking.
A great man once said - Ees are good. Ees are good, Ees are good..Chorlton Ees are good. Some good walks and lovely open greenspace, well maintained by the Friends group and TCV of course! Dog-friendliness: Plenty of trails for walking the doggy.
Great place to walk.. also there's river/lake
Great place for walk or to get fresh air, I highly recommended
Wooded area, where all routes seem to lead to the Mersey.
Went for a walk on a cold day so I'm sure there are better times to go. The weather did mean it was peaceful and that's one of the main draws to the reserve. It's a very pleasant walk with plenty of dog walkers around and a nice view over Sale Water Park if you go a little further round.
Great place to have a walk and blow away the cobwebs. Lots of space which is good, when it’s busy on the weekend it doesn’t feel too crowded. We just made the mistake of walking down one side of the river with the intention to cross back over and walk back. It took us about 40 minutes before we came across another bridge so ended up having a better walk than expected :D
This is a beautiful slice of nature. Unfortunately over the years it's been taken over by dog walkers. Most of the dogs are off their leads and the owners just let them run around, approach children and generally poo anywhere. Personally I don't feel safe because I don't know the owners or the temperament of their dogs, so I don't go anymore.
I had cycled around the area on some guided rides. This time I cycled there on my own. It's a nice green space, quite quiet. Along with the water parks at Sale and Chorlton it's a good nature reserve.
Really nice place for a walk, surprising amount going on around the nearby lake from open water swimming, to kayaking, to jet skis zipping about at the end of the lake. Great place for a dog walk and with a few nearby cafes and a pub to boot!
