Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with the community or enjoy a day out in a charming setting.
Great park - one the UKs oldest - that has a large playing area that’s in use even in winter! Easy to drive to with road parking easily available. Cafe is currently closed nov 2024 but hopefully should be reopening next year.
Alexandra park is a beautiful, well-maintained park with clean facilities and peaceful green spaces. I enjoyed the walking paths and relaxing atmosphere. It's a great spot for families and individuals. Overall, a lovely experience!

Had a lovely walk with my husband. The grounds are expansive. There are many activities and attractions. The paths are great and it is interesting to read the placards with information about what was around. If my kids were with us they would have loved it.
Beautiful area.. Nice pleasent walk.. Big field... Its actually where the Caribbean carnival after advent was held... Fabulous day highly recommend. Great for kids with the fun fair... Music and food
Well maintained Victorian era public park in the heart of South Manchester just outside of the city centre. Host to numerous events such as fun fairs, car boot sales, cricket and football matches, seminars at Chorlton Lodge, and the world renowned and highly popular annual Caribbean Carnival in August. Six open air stages on this 60 acre site at the last free event, if I measured that correctly. Perfect when looking to escape from the fully tarmacked jungle that is the city centre.
The opening and closing times on Google Maps are incorrect not 10a.m. to 4:30p.m. Here is the information from the official website: Opening Time: Dawn / Closing Time: Dusk. The lake in the park is beautiful, and it is very lively on weekends, making it an ideal place for the whole family to spend time.
A nice area with a large lake full of different types of birds signs saying no bread two playgrounds, one for smaller kids which is abit lacking and one for older kids. Theres a cafe and toilet next to the lake. I bet its lovely in the summer. Very popular with dog walkers
Nice place to have good view in the fall. Very relaxing and great vibe. Lake side with ice-cream truck is a bonus. Google says it closes at 4.30 pm but I didn't find any such thing. We stayed up to 5.30pm. We parked our car in one of the lanes near to the park. Dog friendly with lot squirrels around: Kind regards
