Joined choices In January. Friendly and helpful staff. The changing rooms have just been done up. There is plenty of equipment free when I go in the morning before work, and the pool is also quiet. You are also able to do a 3month contract. But you do need to give 3 months notice which works for me. Keep it up guys Great job !!!!!

Be extra wary. If you are considering this gym please reconsider or read my advice at the end! I went in to Choices on the 20th of September to cancel my gym membership. I filled out the form to do so and was told that all I had to do after that was pay up to the 1st December and then cancel my direct debit. So I happily pay out the 3 month notice period because that was the contract and cancel my direct debit after the December payment. Not long after I received an email from Harlands who handle the gym payments asking why I cancelled and to contact them. They wanted me to setup the direct debit again or face fines and penalties. I asked them to contact Choices because there must have been a miscommunication surely but Choices contacted them claiming I had never cancelled my membership. This is extremely frustrating as I made extra sure at the time that I completed all the steps correctly and double checked that I had done everything right but something on Choices end has gone wrong. I'm now having to chase this up with Choices itself but I deeply disappointed in this. For those of you considering joining a gym and looking at Choices I can suggest a far safer way to pay for membership is looking for some online gym memberships that cover Choices. You can cancel at any time and there's no predatory contracts. The downside is you might have to pay a few extra quid but on the plus side you get access to a wide range of gyms including Choices. Please avoid signing a contract with Choices at all costs because even if you follow all the steps to correctly cancel your contract it may not be enough. I have no idea what happened to my cancellation form but I was told by the staff member who helped me through it that they would process it all for me after I completed it and handed it over (which I did) and there were no further steps after that other than paying the 3 month cancellation period (which I also did). Don't let it happen to you.

Nice small gym but expect debt collector letters if you cancel your membership even with proper notice!
