Spot on food, spot on drinks and spot on service. We are moving to Hartford later this year and are so glad Chime will be a walk to our new house. Thank you for a brilliant evening tonight.
Had a booking for 8pm on Saturday, arrived at 7:50pm. Got some lovely drinks straight away and asked if we could order food. We were told to wait a minute, unfortunately didn't get seen to until 8:30pm by that point I'm pretty sure the wine had gone straight to my head. Anyway, the food totally made up for it. Will probably book earlier next time. Cheers!
Vile. Don’t bother. We were aware Chime had changed hands and was under new management but thought we would give it a try with it being local and not wanting to travel far the day before Christmas Eve. I don’t know where to start; - Freezing cold - Bright lights, no candles or ambience - Table not ready - Had to ask to order food - 2 hour wait for food despite not being busy - Dirty plates when food arrived - Service was poor, we had to ask for glasses for drinks - Decor cheap/tired; Menus inconsistent etc - When asked to speak to management a scruffy member of staff in dirty clothes and poor hygiene sat at our table and attempted to critique the timing and delivery of our evening Will not be returning until this business has changed hands which is likely to be in the next year due to incompetence and shoddy service
Red snapper main course was amazing and my wife’s stuffed belly pork also fantastic. The staff and host were both friendly and attentive. I look forward to going back there soon
The tiramisu dessert was great. Service was slow. The main meals we had were okay but not restaurant standard in our case. Veggie pizza was a bit basic. I had lemon sole, which wasnt very flavourful, and the veg was so simple I could have made it. The baby potatos it comes with seemed to have just been over boiled then thrown from a great height onto the plate and all ingredients arranged with no presentation whatsoever. It's a shame as this is the 2nd time we've been to Chime in the hope it would get better. Hopefully this is some positive feedback, no bad vibes intended.
Cannot wait to go again! The menu is varied and enticing. The food was reasonably priced in generous portions and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and professional. The decor and ambience is superb. The toilets are clean and spacious. Just be sure to book to avoid disappointment!
New ownership sometimes breeds fear of change but fear not!! The food in Chime is still as delicious, the staff are still as lovely, the drink is still as perfect and the place is still an absolute gem! We’re lucky to have this restaurant in Northwich - we love Chime!
Such a gem of a place, amazing staff and food in a great setting. Never ever remove the salt and pepper chicken wings or the honeypot pizza!
Came for afternoon tea, the American one. Didn't like the combination of pulled pork and cheese for the dirty fries. Due to it being American I would have thought cheese and bacon. Always had previous, lovely meals here. Great service, even with a smile!
We went to Chime for breakfast, and ordered blindly. We each opted for the breakfast flatbread; one vegetarian and one normal. The food and the service were both fantastic, and the setting is comfortable and nicely decorated. I'd definitely recommend, and as we learned, it's worth booking on advance.
