Meg and Emma were fantastic. Wonderful service and great food. My eyes were bigger than my belly as normal so was able to take the rest home in a box, as well as my desert. Overall perfect price was amazing too! £42 for two mixed grills, extra steak and a mac and cheese side!
Where do I start. We arrived at the lodge at 11:05. As soon as we walked thought the door I was met with the smell of an infected stoma bag that burst open.nSat down at the table and the menus were sticky a dirty.nOrdered food at 11:10 and it arrived by 11:35 ishnWe were the only people therenMy hunters chicken arrived, not a drop of bbq sauce, the cheese was probably about two shreds of it, my peas were still frozen and the chicken was so dry I thought it was a piece of leather. And of course somehow it was cold. Which baffles me as we were the ONLY people there and it was literally opening time so how did the food go cold?nThe salad came looking like it had been at the back of a fridge for 2 weeks, the Coleslaw was slimy. The corn on the cob was sitting in a bed of oil? What the hell?nMy husband had a half a rack of ribs. Those ribs were dryer than sand. It was so burnt I was shocked they even served it?nThe forks were also extremely dirty.nIt was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.
We had a lovely evening at our local pub! The food was excellent – good portions, tasty, and clearly made with care. We came in to watch the football on TV, and the atmosphere was just perfect for it: lively, friendly, and full of good spirits. A special mention to Lisa, who really made the experience – she was welcoming, attentive, and looked after us brilliantly all night. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. Highly recommend for great food, service, and a proper pub vibe!

From the moment you walk in, she greets you with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that immediately makes you feel welcomed. Her knowledge of the menu is impressive; she readily offers recommendations and is always willing to accommodate dietary preferences or specific requests.nnKrysty's attention to detail is noteworthy. She ensures that each dish is served promptly and to perfection, taking pride in the quality of the food and ensuring that everything meets the pub's high standards. Moreover, she is attentive without being overbearing, checking in at just the right moments to see if you need anything else.nnWhat sets Krysty apart is her ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere. She engages with the customers, shares stories, and adds a personal touch that elevates the overall experience at the pub. Whether it's recommending a drink pairing or simply chatting about the day's specials, her genuine passion for her job shines through.nnOverall, Krysty's outstanding service significantly contributes to the pub's charm. She is a valuable asset to the team and plays a crucial role in making every visit enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing her hospitality for yourself!
Great pub with really friendly staff.nnThe food wasn't great at all, my falafel burger was kind of microwaved and the bread bun had been in the microwave too long, and it went hard.nnThey got the order wrong, but soon sorted it out so it was a great positive experience from the staff. However, such a shame about my food. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back, however, my friend who had the beef, said his was amazing. Again, the serving staff were amazing.
