A nice local bar with delicious foods. Sunday roast was very good, tender roast beef and pork. Good portion sizes with fair prices around £15. The pork baguette was amazing, loved the crispy crackling juicy roast pork. The flavour was on point, it was not too salty and the skin had a perfect crunch! We tried two desserts: chocolate mousse layered cake and sticky toffee pudding. Both were delicious. You can choose to have single cream, double cream, clotted cream or ice cream on the side for both desserts. Would come back again next time we're in town, highly recommend.
Never been before and visited on the off-chance that we could get a table at Sunday lunchtime. It was busy and bustling. The staff were friendly and helpful and found us and the dog a room up in The Den. We ordered a Roast beef dinner and two Moules Frites. We were absolutely amazed when the food arrived! Huge mounds of moules, lovely hot fries and a part baguette for dunking in the delicious sauce. The roast beef was plentiful and served with a plateful of roasties, potato croquettes, Yorkshire pudding, baked onion and stuffing. Sides of carrots, broccoli, peas, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, swede mash and an individual jug of extra gravy. Delicious food and outstanding value for money. No wonder it seemed so popular with the locals. A little gem of a place with lovely staff.
Wonderful local pub. Very cosy and super friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the vegan fajitas and it was amazing. Probably the best vegan fajitas I've ever had. Delicious tofu, vegan cheese and mayo. Very impressive for a rural area pub. Highly recommend
Spontaneous decision to eat out and treat ourselves to a Sunday dinner yesterday and I’m so glad we did! Amazing food very reasonably priced too!, fantastic service, great atmosphere. Rolled home as literally couldn’t eat a morsel more. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Awesome food. In fact I am stuffed. Reasonably priced. Quick service. Polite staff. Very busy so says it all. If I didn't live 300 mile away, I would be back.
Friendly atmosphere, very good service, very good food, really couldn't fault it in any way, neither could the other 3 diners that attended. The menu is very diverse should be something for everyone. They had a few specials that all sounded lovely. I will definitely be coming back a few times as there is a few items that I would love to try. A little on the expensive side however you get what you pay for and you get massive portion size. I still believe it's worth it every penny.
Arrived with no booking, they couldn't have been more welcoming, more friendly, or more efficient, the cannelloni was a touch overcooked, the duck I had was fabulous and a generous portion, have also tried the liver which also great. A fantastic pub
We had heard good things about this restaurant. Our starter.. Calamari was superb, but the main was just okay... Price was about right for what we ordered
Had a fabulous meal with 5 friends on new years eve. Really friendly and efficient staff especially Fin. .
