Next to the Premier Inn and as you'd expect. However when I booked they asked if there were any requests. I asked to not be sat by a door. We were sat 6 foot from the door. The air con was blowing cold to add to that and it was uncomfortable. Asked to move, no problem, sorted. Food was good, well cooked and a decent size. Decaf coffee was atrocious, at best instant and very poor indeed. A poor end to the evening.
Hmm where is the salad? How long have the chips been sitting around like the ribs? Gross. Asked if I wanted any other sauce and never came back. I’ve asked for the bill and 30 mins later still waiting yet the place is practically empty.
Pretty damn good food for the price. Only Downside was tasting the Brussels and Carrots were cooked from frozen.. everything else was lush ! This was from the Festive menu. HairyFoodyGuy from youtube :
Good food, reasonable prices and cocktails £5 quid happy hour 5pm-7pm each day.Food: 4/5
Absolutely delicious meal, complimented by supurb service. Our waitress/server Brooke has to be mentioned because she made us feel welcomed and nothing was too much trouble, everything served with a genuine smile. Will go again when in the area, even though its 70 miles from where i live its still tempting me back.
Probably won't return. Treat the family to a usall standard meal I thought. Put beside the kitchen access where the door kept banging! Service was very slow, so much do we decided against puddings. Lots of items not available and the food was quite poor. Eaten here a few times but won't return after tonight's disappointment.
James, the manager was absolutely great. He was very personable. I was enquiring about the area and he generously gave me local information. The family at another table overheard and joined in. It was brilliant, the sort of stuff pubs should be about. The venue is super affordable and generous portions, great ambience and lighting. A lovely visit for an evening meal to get me on the long drive. I fully recommend.
Food was OK but took over an hour to arrive. They had a sign saying they were still short staffed due to illness as always, but the service is so slow. They did accommodate our late booking which we were grateful for, but what was supposed to be a quick lunch turned into a 2 and a half hour ordeal. Also got burned by the waitress not telling us that the 2 meals for £9.49 was not on offer due to it being a bank holiday. This was despite me saying to her we wanted the offer. Oh well. Learnt my lesson. I probably won't eat here ever again. Plenty of parking and kid friendly but the whole place could do with a make over I think. Visited this restaurant on 29th December. Table booked for 9 people but only laid for 8. This was quickly rectified. Drinks and food orders taken reasonably quickly. Starters arrived after 20 minutes. Most of them were lukewarm but still edible. Main courses arrived but once again were not hot enough. It's like they'd been sitting around for quite a while. Food was cooked well and service was ok. Not my best meal.
I looked at the reviews before coming here and to be honest if wasn't convenient we would have gone elsewhere. Well I was wrong we has a fabulous pub dinner, nothing fancy just a nice meal. It was all laid out very covid compliant and nice and clean. The staff see I was struggling to walk so they freed up a table close by. One tiny complaint our waitress rushed us although it wasn't busy. Thanks i was in a lot of discomfort but you made the evening for me. Just one thing the meal deal is definitely worth but be careful because they have some really cheap deals anyway.
