Absolutely gutted. Always love a Chenab when we come to see my mum in York. Now tonight's was terrible. Ordered a lamb biryani. £8.50. A small foil carton sized! No meat in the curry what so ever instead the lamb was in the rice?. Strange to say the least. Smallest portion of salad known to man. And the rice was not good either. Quite oily. Going back home hungry tonight as it all went in the bin.. I think they don't really care about the curry house anymore since they split the shop into a burger shop too. All about the students same as every other takeaway.

Chenab is the only Balti place we have ever used and we have never been let down until tonight. The food was very salty and oily. My husband managed to eat some of his but mine went in the bin. Won't be wasting another £27 there !

Ordered via Uber eats they advised food was on the way 2 hours later food has not arrived. As visitors to York it has been amazing but this is the only thing that lets it down! I strongly recommend that you do NOT order from here. As a good blogger looking forward to leaving a full review of food that I never received!!

Bland. Lots of food colouring. Lamb samosa arrived instead of vegetable. Probably the worst meat a vegetarian  can bite into as a nasty surprise. To be honest get some prepared pots from your supermarket, it won't leave you bloated the next day.

Best Indian and Bengali takeaway I have had.  The guys in here are super friendly and you can see them making your dish freshly in front of you. All dishes I have tried taste amazing and it is the go to spot for my friends and I for a takeaway.

Ordered food for 6 via Just Eat at about 5.40pm, it said it would arrive at 6.25pm and arrived just a minute or two afterwards.  The guy delivering was friendly.  The food was above average for an Indian take away.  We ordered about 10 dishes, the dishes ranged from satisfactory to good.  I would order from  here again.

This is my Indian of choice and the food is always spot on. Would recommend a tandoori butter chicken for a sweet mild dish and a pathia for a hot tasty dish. Me and my boyfriend absolutely love it!

Guys,  Our meals were terrible tonight. We paid £15.50 for chicken tikka sag Madras which was like stew and chicken stir fry that was lacking everything.  Worse take away I can remember.  Both went straight in the bin.  £15.50 wasted and no meal.

Pointless waste of £30 for 2 dishes of bland uninspiring red supposed authentic Indian food. Why do these places bother? Why not make food that people who enjoy decent food actually would like. Instead of rinse the customer and then get a bad review.  Anyone who likes decent Indian keep away don't bother like I did.
