I think my meal is all mass produced in a factory and just heated up - the chicken in batter had 80% batter and 20% chicken...  The rice was of poor to ok quality you can tell a lot about a place down to it's rice. The price was fine, but the quality was lacking. I think it makes it money on the students near by, but would struggle if they were not around.

So I'm now banned from Hong Kong Joes for complaining. Well Hong Kong Joes you have met your match. I'm posting this on every social media site i can and I'll also add my review to Just Eat. The food took 50min to turn up, your delivery driver was a miserable man who was offended and positively rude when i didn't tip him as the food was late glad i didn't now, the food was also stone cold when it arrived. I called to complain and was told to 'put it in my microwave'. Firstly I'm not stupid i know how to reheat food, Secondly why the hell should i have to reheat something i have paid for to be hot or at least edible. This brings me nicely onto my next point, the food was awful. Really really salty, no flavour  other than salt, everything was soggy and the meat was nothing short of sloppy seconds. If I'm alive tomorrow then thank you for at least not killing me with your less than adequate 'food'. So basically you've banned me from somewhere I would NEVER use again so well done. I would also ask everyone else to find a new Chinese takeaway as this one is disgusting.

Thought id treat myself, bit of spare cash. I'm a regular, same food more or less every time and have always loved Hong Kong Joe's for past 4yrs. Until tonight. Not sure if they have changed their ingredients or chef, not as tasty as previous. 1 Spring Roll came burnt. Very disappointed.  Sadly will have to find a new Chinese take away.

Have been going to this place for nearly 2 years, eat here atleast once a month and its always lush!  Have personally tried a number of dishes all good and my girlfriend who is now quite the  chicken satay connosuier says its the best shes had!

Never had a problem always fast and always hot. Never had delivery so couldn't comment on speed. Best Chinlish takeaway in York as far as I'm concerned.

The food can be nice sometimes but it takes them an hour to bring my Sweet and sour chicken and its only warm not hot. Thankfully I have a nice chinese over the road from me.

Ordered Veggie Spring Rolls and they gave me meat ones, didnt realise til half way through the first one. I will not be returning.

Best Chinese I've had in a long time.. prawn toast is the best ever mmmmm xx

Best Chinese delivery in York,when ordering use just eat because it's a Chinese person on the other end of the phone...bit of a lottery of what you end up with

Food took an hour to be delivered when I live 5 minutes away And was cold when it came. Wouldn’t order from here again.
