We used the Consulate based in Birmingham today and found the member of staff extremely professional and very courteous. She remained calm and collective with all customers, dealing with all the paperwork presented to her. An outstanding service and praise to the member of staff this morning. Thank you
I feel the VISA service definitely needs improvement. First of all they need to improve the web system for application for VISA> There is a section on uploading a photo but they only allow 1MB photo size which in this day and age is ridiculous. We are asked to fill in a form but the form design does not acknowledge what entries to make for minors. There is a bit at the end on the final check that automatically declares that you have spent 2 years in the country you are travelling to?? where did that come from ? on the form and how does it apply to a minor whose name you are putting on the form. Secondly their appointment system needs a lot of work. If you go on the Birmingham appointment schedules there are no green days opened for appointment. There is no guidance on what to do if this occurs. Their telephone number on consultate website did not work. No common FAQs on these commonly encountered points. I can imagine that the process can make a lot of tourist visa travellers panic at the challenges encountered. A lot of work needed!
Very helpful embassy, lots of queue will be there. But less queue in morning, but staffs are very knowledgeable and helpful and flexible. Definitely recommend going to this embassy..before appointment however, if u need to contact them, only available through whatsapp no , I needed my baby passport and registration, although I didn't have a lot of documents , they helped me to fill relevant forms from their computer and. get it done in few hours time and got all sorted in 2 weeks time
My recent experience with CGI Birmingham was excellent. I had a query regarding my list UK passport which contained the lifelong Indian visa sticker. The response was quick, detailed and courteous. Very pleased.
I applied for the Normal passport renewal. While waiting for 6 weeks of processing time I needed to travel to India for family emergency. I called Bghm consulate on out of hours emergency number and spoke with Sonia and submitted the requested documents. She processed my passport in Tatkal on same day. I managed to travel to India on the same day. Sonia and the embassy was very helpful in this emergency situation. I am very grateful and thankful to them
I had applied my sons indian birth certificate and indian passport on 5/12/22. I had received the mail from vfs that the processed application has been dispatched through DX Express . From DX Express received the message that the parcel will be received on 9/12/22. I waited till 14/12/22 their was no message from DX Express, then I rang them on 14/12/22 they replied the parcel has damaged the parcel stucked in their door van and it tear up.I need to contact the sender.Then I went VFS center they told we need to wait or need to mail the consulate about requesting for a duplicate copy . I need the original certificate because it is not my mistake.
Had a very prompt and productive communication with the Birmingham team Sonia. The staff are smiling and understanding. Overall very good experience at both vfs and consulate
Very good service by consulate Genaral of India Birmingham VFS Bradford needs to improve a lot . HOPE some one take a user feedback of VFS and improve the overall experience.
I received link by whats app for E visa from Birmingham PRU team...I applied for E Visa on Sunday received email visa granted next day amazing definitely services are much better now compare to old times
I would like to Thank the Indian consul especially the Vice Consul , Ramesh Kamra,who guided and gave his precious time to get my emergency visa application and appointment sorted . As such I could visit my mum who had an emergency surgery in Kashmir last minute and care for her in time . Thanks for all the help I received
