I had to try and get a emergency document so i went it to the office a bit stressed,i was told i would be seen asap,i was very grateful as i didnt have an appointment,i was greeted my a very friendly, polite and professional staff member who put me at ease straight away,i only had to wait a very short time to be seen, during the short time i waited at least 3 staff members asked if i was okay and kept me updated that i would be seen shortly, the whole process was so easy which was so helpful as i was short of time and on a document deadline, the lady who issued it me was very warm and professional! Thank you so much to everyone who helped me in my hour of need
We arrived late for a 12:40 appointment, consequently our appointment slot was gone. However, Jackie and her team were most accommodating and understanding regarding our situation. She managed to arrange for someone to see us within 15mins of our arrival! Excellent service, very supportive and understanding. Our sincere thanks to all concerned. Katie Rigby Keith Rigby
I witnessed /interpreted a friends marriage . Atmosphere were nice, warm place, lovely lights and before ceremony there were a small interview just to make sure everything its ok,that everyone knows what's next and makes sure there is a proper understanding of a ceremony and of a meanings of vows. A beautiful memories from now on!
Disgusting service, appointment to register a death earliest time available from time of death is just under a month. Can’t speak to anyone on the phone can’t make any arrangements without the certificate. My poor mom can’t leave the hospital until I have this certificate and I can’t arrange a funeral!
We were married on Friday 16th December 2022, our guests and ourselves were very pleased and impressed with ceremony room 3. I have nothing but praise and Thank You, to all the Staff, in particular the duty Manager for being so helpful and professional in managing an unforseen situation with compassion
Very, very bad experience. I just got married there, and i can say i wish i didn't. They litteraly ruined our day it supposs to be our special and happy day. All this because of that Asian lady, middle age in grey suit, she was so unprofessional, so rude. We didn't pay for this. She didn't want to help, she didn't was frendly at all, we was so unwelcome there, and so rushed to be done ASAP, even if it's no appoitment after us, we checked it. I am really suprised and speechels. This should be England! This if far away from that, at the moment. No words to describe this experience. Have a nice rest lf your day miss, whoever you are .
What was supposed to be the happiest day of my life was completely ruined by the staff at Birmingham Register Office. Lets start from the beginning.. Me and my entire family of over 20 people arrived to celebrate and witness my marriage. Me and my fiancé were asked to have a small interview together with the registrar middle aged, Asian, short black hair, glasses, grey suit at no point did they offer to speak to us separately before the ceremony. They assumed we was ok with this, when we wasn't. I spent lots of time and money on my hair and makeup and wished to surprise my fiancé when i walked towards him. This didn't happen. When we were being interviewed the Registrar made remarks like "it will be over before you know it , will last no more than 5 minutes whilst clapping her hands together" She was saying this whilst smirking and i felt terrible listening to her practically warm me this was going to be rushed. Moving on, the Usher. Also a middle aged, black woman, black suite. She was called following the interview so she can explain what the next steps would be. She was friendly to start off with. Until she intervened in a conversation i was having with my fiancee regarding my baby nephew who was crying in the ceremony hall. My nephew is 8 months old who was already feeling unwell. I mention to my fiancé that he was still unwell and needed his dummy. The Usher stood up. Left the room. Went into the ceremony hall where my entire family was. And told my brother that I SAID the baby needs his dummy or they can step out with him whilst he's crying during the ceremony !! This was outrageous. Disgusting. Disrespectful. Rude. Wrong. And untrue. I not once asked her anything. I didnt look at her i didn't speak with her i made conversation with my fiance whilst she was present in the room and she took it upon herself to do something so horrible. I was later on told that the Registrar advised the rings should be kept in their original boxes throughout, when there was a nice pillow available on the table for the rings to sit on. It was my mother who specifically asked for the pillow to be used, because why not !!! Why was this not offered to us !? At the end of the ceremony we took photos in. The reshitrar atood on the side looking at her watch and rooling her eyes. She didnt offer once to take a photo, or even smile. The entire wedding was rushed. Unprofessional. The people were unfriendly. I felt mocked and not taken serious. They insulted my family. They ruined my wedding. I spent most of it crying. I am here the day after my wedding typing this out, and it shouldnt have been this way - i should be celebrating and i should be happy but they have ruined this for me. For my husband. And my entire family!! Never choose Birmingham Register Office to marry. They will ruin everything. I will be taking this further. I paid a large amount of money to be married at this place and i will not rest util its all paid back to me !
Trying to register a birth, it states you have to do it within 6 weeks. Birmingham gives a date of 10 weeks for a appointment. We need to fly out within the next few months so no passport. They don't answer the phone, I am just sick and tired of government departments run like this. Why is everything in this country rapidly declining.
ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Cannot believe how they have treated us… My sister explained to me that a Asian lady short black hair and grey suit clapped her hands together and said “it’s ok it’ll only take 5 minutes and you’ll be married” as my sister was sorting out her veil my sister felt extremely rushed on her wedding day and told me that she ruined her special day My 7 month old son was moaning/crying a middle aged black lady black outfit came in and told me to keep him quiet or they’ll have to ask me to leave with the baby… who can MAKE a baby stay quiet???? Apparenkty my sister asked the lady to tell us that and when my sister came out she said she never said anything like that!! Can you believe the cheek?? Felt absolutely rushed most definitely not welcomed The Asian lady never smiled no politeness from her absolutely disgusting Also I asked my brother in law is anyone congratulated the couple that got married and he said no The Asian lady never offered the pillow for the ring, she said to leave them in the boxes to the point where my mother said we would like to use the pillow for the rings which was right to her side When the ceremony was done she opened the doors and never offered us to take pictures just wanted us out straight away She kept huffing and puffing everytime we took pictures and kept looking at her watch She ruined my sister wedding and my sister is not happy with anything at all she has been crying since she left from there We will be contacting the management about this whole mess
At the ceremony the girl at the reception very good very nice talking ant the girl who done the ceremony she is lovely and very kind but there is a woman between the two she is very rude she don't know how to talk nice to the people she is not good enough for that job so I will give her zero.
